The Jordaan
On this Secret Food Walking Tour you'll discover the best local Dutch food the Amsterdam's Jordaan neighborhood has to offer. The Jordaan is Amsterdam's Greenwich Village, with its narrow alleys, leafy canals lined with 17th-century houses, quirky specialty shops, cafes and designer boutiques. You'll get to taste traditional homemade pancakes called "Poffertjes." Next, you'll sample some of the best Dutch cheeses. You'll visit a local fishmonger and dine on herring and traditional kibbeling, battered chunks of fish. You'll taste Stamppot, a local favorite. And at the end there will be a delicious Secret Dish.
Westertoren
You'll pass by the Westertoren ("Western tower"), the highest church tower in Amsterdam, at 87 meters (±286 feet).

4.00Lorenzo was the best guide. Very good descriptions, history and trivia provided. Great! One thing is that at some food stops there was no room for us inside and we had to stand on the street to eat samples.
Lorenzo is nice — locations for treats were outstanding!

5.00We signed up for a Secret Food Tour Amsterdam and our guide was a very sweet guy named Lorenzo. He took us to some great places and we tried all sorts of of different tastes! Great way to spend 3 hours!

5.00Lorenzo was a calming presence, kind and pleasant. He made the tour an enjoyable experience, which felt more intimate with our small group. Very knowledgeable with providing information on a breadth of topics, but humble enough to admit if he didn’t know specifics. Despite not receiving my email about my allergies, Lorenzo remained vigilant with making sure I was not exposed to any peanuts throughout the entire tour.

5.00Really informative and friendly tour by Mike. We were taken to places that we would never choose to eat at if we were walking round the city on our own. The pace was excellent and the 3 hours went by very quickly! We were both quite full after all the food and drinks we were served throughout the tour, so maybe have a light breakfast.

5.00What a treat it was to take this Secret Food Tour with Jolanda. Not only did I learn a lot, but I also got to taste all kinds of different foods, from breakfast, to cheese and things I had never tried before and wouldn’t have found on my own. (This is a lot coming from a Spanish fellow traveler). However, the icing on the cake was Jolanda. She is amazing to be around, knows her locations and her food, and is overall a delight to spend time with. I would absolutely recommend taking a tour with her. Thank you so much!!
