Discover Amsterdam’s highlights aboard one of our classic canal boats in an intimate, small-group setting. On this 1.5-hour cruise, your friendly English-speaking captain will guide you past the city’s most iconic sights while sharing fun facts and local stories.
Enjoy a tasty slice of Dutch apple pie with whipped cream and two drinks of your choice (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) as you relax and take in the views. The perfect way to start your morning in Amsterdam!
We operate different boats depending on availability:
the Stan Huygens, a historic yacht once chartered weekly by Freddy Heineken, offers live guiding and host-served drinks for up to 24 guests;
and the Pure Spirit, a beautifully restored classic launch for up to 16 guests, features a semi-open design and self-service bar after the first round. Windows and sunroofs adjust based on weather.
Vegan and gluten-free options are not available.

Emperor's Canal (Keizersgracht)
We begin the cruise in the Royal Streets, on the Keizersgracht or Emperors Canal next to the Jordaan district, a beautiful unspoilt area of town at the north end of the canal district. You will board the boat and end the cruise outside the original hat factory of Amsterdam, 'Het Rode Hood' (The Red Hat)

The first district we cruise through is always a favourite to explore by boat and by foot. A charming, relaxed area of town, just outside the centre and away from the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist traps.

5.00We went on the highlights of Amsterdam cruise, the apple pie and drinks were fantastic, but best of all was the captain - who gave the perfect level of information and allowing us peaceful time to enjoy the cruise and the views. We went as a family and everyone enjoyed it, well worth the money.

1.00If you’re looking for a pleasant ride on the canals, this is a clean and comfortable boat. However, don’t expect much in the way of history or local insights—only a few facts about Amsterdam and its canals were shared. The captain was friendly, but giving tours seemed more like a side job than a dedicated guide experience.

5.00We had an amazing tour with Will and Virginia! The tour itself was lovely and informative, and the boats seat everyone comfortably at private tables. The apple pie and drinks were bonuses- a wonderful way to see the canals of Amsterdam!

5.00From the booking experience to boat cruise, everything was done by Pureboats staff with excellent care and service. Karina in the office was especially kind and helpful when suggesting the right boat cruise to suit our us. It may seem expensive compared to other boat cruise. However, we revelled in the luxurious boat and was well taken care of by our guide, Annabella and captain, Wil.

5.00The tour exceeded our expectations! We booked the 90 minute highlights canal tour with apple pie and 2 complimentary beverages. Check in was extremely friendly, our captain was super nice, fresh flowers elevated the environment, basically we felt like we booked a VIP tour without realizing it.
I think this was a stylish and sophisticated way to see the city. Very impressed.

5.00The Spirit is a lovely boat which suits maybe around 15 people with sunshades that don’t obscure the views, and Klass is the perfect host with a friendly and professional manner; a lovely casual but informative tour. A nice choice of drinks which includes local biers, lagers, wines and soft drinks with complimentary bottles of water as well as a tasty portion of apple pie. Participation can be as minimal as an introduction to each other, but people were soon chatting with various coffeeshop anecdotes tips and stories of previous places visited with all questions answered by Klass. An interesting route that covers some famous landmarks and soon 90 minutes comes perfectly to an end.
