  The bus takes an hour or so depending on traffic. The boat takes twice as long but gives a totally different perspective to similar sites.

• Rip off, glitchy app and bad service.

  ​Do not waste your money on this service. The app is completely useless, and the entire experience feels like a rip-off. We waited at our stop, and the app showed no buses arriving for at least 20 minutes, so we headed toward a nearby grocery store. Suddenly, the app glitched and showed a phantom bus completely off-route over in Westerpark (I have a screenshot as proof). ​When a bus miraculously appeared, we practically sprinted toward it, pushing our baby in the stroller. We were literally five meters away when the driver locked eyes with us, gave us a sour look, and intentionally drove off. ​Even if you do manage to catch a bus, the service is a disappointment. Half of the headphone ports are broken, so you can't even hear the audio tour you paid for. On top of that, the service stops running at 5:00 PM every day, which is ridiculously early. For the absurd price they charge, do yourself a favor: buy a €10 day pass for the metro/tram system and explore the city yourself.

  Could not find, and other companies didn’t even know about them. Limited signs and no maps to find the spot. Would not respond to messages for directions, and then did not allow refund. I can’t even prove if they exist.

  TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE This is a sham do not book. Planned our combo ticket Bus and Boat for 14 May 2026. First problem the operators seemed completely disconnected from the sales offer or ticket from Trip Advisor. They could not confirm of accept the voucher we have been proved by Trip Advisor. One employee of Sightseeing Amsterdam claimed we had purchased a Hop On/Off Bus pass + a single one-hour canal cruise. The captain/operator of the canal boat claimed that we have in fact purchased the combo Boat/Bus Hop On/Off not the one-hour canal tour and even acknowledged that the combo Boat/Bus was actually more expensive than her option and we should get what we paid for. She felt sorry for us after failing to get agreement with the other representative, so she let us on her boat. We did complete that portion reluctantly. Not a good start. The location was near the Rijksmuseum. After canal cruise we went to nearest Hop On/Off Bus location across from the entrance to Volendam Park (stop 8). After our party of 4 convinced the driver, the ticket was legitimate (think about that one), he allowed us to board. Halfway through the route, specifical 2 stops later at stop! He announces he is taking an hour break everyone off the bus and go to the other bus at the stop. Which by the way was full and that driver would not let anyone on. We would have to wait 30 minutes minimum for the next bus. The fact it was raining did not help the situation. I fully appreciate timing your tour to be at the stops when the bus is expected. but I do not expect to be kicked off once I am on the bus. One last point this only applies to the Amsterdam franchise. In Barcelona, New York and other cities it has been a great value and the service you paid for meets your expectation. We moved on and did not let this miserable excuse for a customer service company to ruin our visit to the wonderful people and city of Amsterdam.

  Don’t bother with this company they sold me a 24 hour hop on hop off. I was only able to use it one day and it dropped off my app so there was no ticket for me to even get on the boat portion of this purchase. Then on top of it all, we sat and waited for the boat that never showed up. Save your money and get around on the subway and train in the city. Requested 50% back and they denied it.

  One is really very flexible with the start time. No matter what one has chosen. You should not miss the half-hour tour at the jeweler. Bus and boat tours are recommended.

• Book your tour from the ship instead.

  Great if you’re staying in Amsterdam but not if you are on a ship. Expect to pay over a hundred euro just to get to Amsterdam from IJmuiden port. This company should mention that if you arrive by ship, they don’t have any shuttle service to Amsterdam. There is a bus for 23 euros one way to get there but it takes 1.5 hours. This is one port where it’s better to book from the ship. Once you get to the Central Station, you can hop on the bus. It didn’t make sense having both bus and boat ride tickets when on a ship because you won’t have time to do both. The recording in the bus was good to listen to and informative.

  Might be better if you have adequate time in the city. We only had 6 hours and 3 of those were spent at Anne Frank house

  The buses technically circuit to each stop every 20-30 minutes, making for a frustrating wait if you miss one. Also our bus did not stop at more than one of the spots. The pre-recorded narration is good.

  That anything is possible if you try and contact The merchant very nicely done both agents that I had chatted with were very helpful and I really appreciate it
