5.00Florentine gave me an excellent private guided tour in Rijksmuseum in the morning of the last day of October. I gained much more knowledge about Dutch paintings, especially Rembrandt's. Florentine gave me a brief but through history background how Dutch’s huge trade success promoted the demands for paintings from rich merchants or middle classes, and how the Protestants’s beliefs shaped the different styles of Dutch paintings from Italian and French classic paintings. She also picked representative works from different eras for demonstrations. For those most important works, like Rembrandt’s Night Watch, self portrait,and others, she also led me to notice the details showing the master’s skills and techniques. When I visited a big museum, I usually felt overwhelmed and always tired at the end. The audio guide always gave too much information (quantity) but also too little information (depth and quality). Florentine’s guide liked a thread which picked up all the pearls on the way and made them a beautiful memory necklace to be remembered. Upon all these, she’s also warm and friendly, making you feel like walking with a friend. Highly recommend this type of art-historian-guided tour by Florentine and her colleagues (I also attended a Van Gogh Museum guided tour with her colleague).

5.00Cecile was a phenomenal tour guide! She provided us with background information about the museum itself, then lead us through the highlights . She is knowledgeable and passionate about art. Cecile kept us engaged about each piece and entertained us with interesting information about the artist, the times in which they lived, etc.. it was a delightful experience. I also appreciated several follow up emails confirming our meeting location and special requests. We highly recommend this company and Cecile!

5.00We did our tour today led by Cecile. She was amazing and such a lovely person. She transformed a walk through a museum into a ln informative, incredibly interesting description of not only Vincent’s work, but his life and his peers. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her and would never do a gallery tour without Cecile! Michael and Andrea

5.00Fannie was our guide for the Rijksmuseum and she is fantastic! We spent several hours walking through the museum learning so much about many of the paintings. Fannie is extremely knowledgeable and is a very pleasant person...the time flew by. We went later in the afternoon and it wasn't very crowded, which was even better.
