  We really enjoyed this workshop! The instructor walked us through how to transfer a stencil easily onto the ceramic tile, and then how to apply the paint and make corrections. It was very accessible for beginners as well as more advanced folks, and you get to walk away with a beautiful piece to put up in your house. Highly recommend for all skill levels.

  i had a wonderful time during this class, peyaswani was so friendly and welcoming ,super fun relaxing activity with a little history lesson also .i did this solo but would be super fun with friends im sure !! would highly reccomend all lovely people :)

  We had a great visit to paint a tile with Peyaswani. She was very informative and welcoming, offering us drinks and to sit and relax when arrived. We sat with another couple and she let us pick our designs, once we’d all decided she explained how to transfer the design, the painting and shading techniques, if anyone needed help or advice she was very helpful! She gave us some great history about that art style and the history of the process. As we were flying home on the day we were worried about the drying process but luckily the paint dries quickly and can be packed and transported home before baking in an oven at home. We had a lovely time getting to know Peshaswani and the other couple and a unique souvenir to take home, definitely recommend and visit again on a future visit :)

  

  

• Rushed from the beginning

  We attended this workshop hoping for a relaxing and enjoyable creative experience, but unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. When we arrived on time, another group was already in the middle of their session. We were asked to place our coats in a very crowded area and were directed to another table. From the beginning, we were told that “every minute counted” and that we only had 1.5 hours to complete our project. Because of this, the session felt rushed from the start. While we were working on our stencil, the instructor spoke nonstop about the history of the Dutch technique and even mentioned that we didn’t need to pay attention, that we could treat her like a podcast in the background. This was distracting while we were trying to concentrate and finish on time. She also frequently reminded us of the remaining time and mentioned that another large group was coming after us, which added to the pressure. Although she apologized for rushing us, the overall lack of tact made the experience feel stressful rather than enjoyable. What should have been a fun, relaxing, and creative workshop ended up feeling tense, rushed, and disappointing. I truly hope this feedback helps improve the organization and pacing for future guests

  Peyaswani was a wonderful host & made the experience fun & memorable. The painting itself was also so much fun! I attended the session by myself but really quickly made friends with the other people there. We were also given tea & coffee which was very appreciated!

  The workshop was a wonderful experience in traditional Dutch tile painting. Martina (the hostess) was friendly and gave a detailed history of tile painting and its origins. We were carefully guided through the techniques to produce our own tiles. Very pleased with the results! Minus one star only because of scheduling problems. We booked an 11:15am slot and arrived early but the workshop was closed. After contacting the operator, they offered to reschedule or refund and we were able to book onto a later class.

  Affordable fun activity to do! Even for beginner artists, Peyaswani was very patient and explained all the techniques and history of Delft blauw.
