Learn how to make the world famous Dutch Stroopwafels yourself! During this Fun and Easy workshop, our professional host will assist you in creating some delicious traditional Dutch Syrup Waffles Nestled in the charming heart of Amsterdam. As you step into our cosy, welcoming venue, the aroma of caramel and freshly baked dough envelops you, setting the stage for a truly authentic Dutch experience. Our 45-minute workshop begins with a warm introduction from your experienced guide, who will share the fascinating history of the Stroopwafel, a beloved Dutch specialty since the 18th century. You’ll don your apron and gather around as the guide demonstrates the art of crafting the perfect Stroopwafel—from mixing the dough to the precise cooking technique required to achieve that golden, crispy texture. Then, it’s your turn to get hands-on. You’ll roll out your dough and learn how to cook it to perfection on a traditional iron. The highlight comes when you drizzle warm, gooey syrup—the 'stroop'—between the thin wafel layers, sealing the sweet concoction. While your creations cool, you'll enjoy a well-deserved break with a cup of coffee or tea, mingling with fellow baking enthusiasts.

5.00Very fun and beginner friendly. The workshop lead (I think her name was Franziska) was fantastic. Important info for those with allergies/vegans: the stroopwafel mix used contains some sort of milk powder, but gloves are used when making the dough so that's fine. The dough is put in a stroopwafel press machine with butter spray for lubrication. As a result, the final stroopwafel you make will not be dairy-free. However, the workshop is very nice to have some ready-made vegan stroopwafels available for you to take home at the end of the workshop. So if you have an allergy (like 2 of our party) you can still take part AND enjoy a sweet treat at the end of it. <3

5.00Great forty five minutes. Louisa the head chef was informative and excellent at ensuring everyone had enough information and resources to make 2 large stroopwaffles . Relaxed and yet great fun!
