We offer half day Indonesian cooking classes. MONDAY TO Sunday Classes consist of a minimum of 2 people to a maximum of 12 people.
Cooking Class Schedule :
Daily 11:00 or 16:30
Experience the different flavor of “Indonesian cuisine” and learn about the local products.
From spicy local “Lombok food” with hot chilies and herbs to the sweetness of Javanese food made with fresh coconut milk, palm sugar and peanuts. Discover the unique flavors and fruity sourness of lime, lemongrass and tamarind.
A sample of dishes see below:
– Sate Ayam ( Chicken Satay )
– Perkedel Jagung ( Corn Fritters )
– Pepes Ikan ( Fish in Banana Leaf )
– Lombok Kari ( Curry Chicken, Fish or Veggies )
– Lombok Soto Ayam ( Chicken Soto )
– Cumi Balado ( Spicy Squid )
– Dadar Gulung ( Rolled Pancake )

5.00An excellent cooking day course, including a tour of the gardens in which Chris (slightly eccentric snd a great story teller) would identify and explain the herbs and spices we would be using. The two chefs instructing on the cooking side delivered the course with a perfect blend of humour and professionalism. The facilities were clean and spacious and the food produced was delicious (and plentiful). I would recommend Anggrek Putih to anyone, a great experience and great value for money. All four of us in my group had a great time.

5.00What a fun outing! The whole experience was perfect : prompt hotel pick up, fun class, learned to cook with unfamiliar ingredients that produced tasty foods. Chris is an excellent host and the whole staff is delightful. Highly recommend it.

5.00As a solo traveller I was made to feel very welcome and I thoroughly enjoyed enjoyed the day. All staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable which made the experience all the more enjoyable. Can’t wait to try out the recipes they gave us when I get home, thankyou!
