Annapurna Base Camp trekking in Nepal is the most popular and diversified trekking route of Nepal. It comprises of the lower belt of Nepal to the upper belt up in the Himalayas. The trail comprises of the Hot Springs, magnificent waterfall, glacial rivers, green lush forests, terraced paddy fields in hills, ethnic tribes (Gurung, Magar, Thakali, Brahmin, Chhetri) settlements, flora and fauna. The trail presents you the pristine nature and takes you to the enchanted snow filled land in the foothill of Mount Annapurna and Mount Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). The presence of varieties of vegetation, diverse human settlement, natural attractions like mountains, rivers, hills and forests makes this trekking package worth of every penny spent for the trip. Heading down to the Modi River. The trail follows the Modi river banks till Jhinu Danda and passes through local villages and forests.

During the trek, along this trail, we do not find any permanent settlement. The trail passes through solitary places and one can really feel the Nature’s wilderness. If you walk without making any noise, you are likely to have the chances to see a variety of species of wildlife such as wild pig, deer, snow leopard, etc. After walking 4 hours, we can reach Deurali from Dovan and stay in local lodge.
Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m.)

Annapurna Base Camp Trek
As this route is in the high altitude area, you might feel the shortage of oxygen, so, you are advised to walk slowly. However, you can feel that you are very close to the Nature. The scene of waterfalls and close Mountain View may make your trek enjoyable. After walking along the trail for about three hours, you can reach ABC and stay in a local lodge.

5.00I was briefed on trekking to Annapurna Base Camp, steeped up and down. My OA knees didn’t hurt, slow ascent but moving on with my guide & Sherpa patiently assisting most times. I enjoyed the tranquility & gorgeous views, friendly villagers, mountain dogs, delicious food at lodges where some times were spent at dining areas & had great interactions with fellow travelers & staff. Had extra day at MBC due to altitude sickness, took the chopper MBC to ABC.

5.00I wanted to thank welcome Nepal treks and my guide Hari for the experience of being guided to Annapurna base camp. Everything was organised perfectly and efficiently, I also felt very safe during the entire experience as a female solo traveller. I was well taken care of when I got sick as well. Hari was also very considerate about the small things to make sure I have a very memorable experience and adjusted to my needs.

5.00Just returned from the trekking to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) with guide Padam. The experience was well organised from start to finish, Padam is a fantastic guide who is kind, caring and entertaining. He was always asking me if I was ok and offered some support when needed. He always made sure we had the best accomodation and always had adequate food and water during the trek. I would highly recommend a trek with Welcome treks and especially with guide Padam. The trek itself can be challenging at times on the uphill slog, expect average of 6 hours a day trekking up steps. Pack light don't bring any non essentials for a more comfortable experience.
