I’m Saranga, an English-speaking guide from the Anuradhapura area. Join me on a mountain bike adventure through the ancient UNESCO World Heritage City of Anuradhapura, where history, culture, and nature come together beautifully.
Our hidden-route mountain bike tours take you beyond the usual paths, letting you discover secret temples, serene lakes, and local life at your own pace. We provide a professional mountain bicycle experience with top-quality bikes from trusted brands such as Giant, Trek, and Louis Garneau.
Our 10 km loop tour lasts about 4½ hours, covering all the must-see attractions within the heritage site — the perfect balance of exploration, exercise, and enjoyment.

At 122 metres (400 ft), it was the world's tallest stupa, and the third tallest structure in the world when it was built by King Mahasena of Anuradhapura (273–301).
Samadhi Statue
The Samadhi Buddha is a famous statue situated at Mahamevnāwa Park in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. The Buddha is depicted in the position of the Dhyana Mudra, the posture of meditation associated with his first Enlightenment. This statue is 7 feet 3 inches in height and carved from dolomite marble.

5.00We had a wonderful afternoon with Saranga. We cycled a beautiful route past many sights and through stunning scenery. Saranga enthusiastically shared stories about the rich history and Buddhist rituals. Easy for beginner cyclists, there can be added something to the route if you want a bit more. I would definitely recommend this trip!

He also inspired me very much by telling a piece of his life story. Saranga is a pure and beautiful soul that I would encourage everyone to meet in their travel through Sri Lanka. 5.00Interesting and fun to do this tour. History, culture and being busy come together. Saranga, the guide, has a lot of knowledge of the ancient Buddhist complex and the customs in Buddhism. He guided us in a nice way with attention to our questions and without rushing. Highly recommended!

5.00This was a truly magical tour. The slow pace let's you indulge into the history and the beautiful nature of Anuradhapura's ancient city. The guide was a big plus with a great knowledge about the culture and religion. I can highly recommend this tour!

5.00We had an accidental private tour and Saranga spared time nor effort to make the tour memorable. He led us along all the highlights of the ancient city, taking the local paths, all the while explaining the significance of the sites and engaging in conversation about (buddhist) practices, life and personal stories. We were/are inspired by his story and engagement in his community. His interaction with others made him come across as an authentic guide and human being who practices what he preaches. The stop for the local snacks was also a fun intermezzo and if it weren’t for it we might not have tried the ‘street’ food in Sri Lanka. Thanks again and all the best Saranga! Cheer Nikki & Wesley

5.00This was such a highlight of our trip. The route taken is absolutely epic and a beautiful ride. We were able to ask questions and the day was tailored to our group, giving us choice over what we wanted to see and do. The guide Saranga was funny, kind and knowledgeable. We’d highly recommend anyone visiting Anuradhapura does this tour. It’s 100% worthwhile!

5.00What a fantastic day with Saranga ! Riding a bike is a great way to explore the heritage sites. Saranga has a wealth of knowledge and gave us a really informative experience. Not only do you get to ride in the lovely Sri Lankan climate, you get see, hear and smell things that you wouldn't in a car or tuk tuk. Thank you so much Saranga.
