If during your trip you have time for an Apulian gastronomic experience, it will be very instructive, fun and active. Immerse yourself in the local culture by joining an Italian family. Discover the secrets of grandmothers on how to prepare focaccia and fresh pasta. The traditional Apulian cooking experience with Juanita takes place 10 minutes from the Central Train Station, close to the Shopping Streets and the historical and cultural attractions that characterize the city, such as the old city, the beautiful Cathedral, the Basilica, Palazzo Fizzarotti, the Petruzzelli theater and much more. Juanita will share tips and tricks to make the traditional Bari focaccia the legendary ORECCHIETTE. At the end of the lesson, I will share the recipes DA take home, TO AMAZE ON YOUR RETURN HOME RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. Together we will decide the start time of the course. Duration : 2 hours and 30 minutes

Anita was kind and patient; she graciously invited her into her lovely home. She taught us how to make foccacia and pasta and while it rested, we were treated to a charcuterie board with her homemade bread, her father's olive oil, buffalo cheese two kind of olives, meat, and a drink of our choice. Later we both were seated as we practiced making orecchiette pasta. We had a delightful lunch of pasta and focaccia and a drink of choice. We left we new knowlege and recipes, and a very full stomach!

A huge improvement on the pasta and tiramasu making that we'd done a couple of days previously. Juanita told us about ensuring the correct flour for each pasta. It's not all the same 00 ! The tiramasi method made more sense than our previous experience and tasted better. We made orichettite and other pasta shapes and were shown a neat way to cut thin pasta sheets for tagliatelle. The forcaccia dough was properly rested and manipulated before cooking and tasted great. Lots of knowledge and a great evening. Thanks Juanita

This class was a highlight of my stay in Bari. Juanita is a charming dynamo with a wealth of experience that she is happy to share. She makes the preparation of the focaccia and pasta look so easy!! I don't know what I enjoyed more - learning how to prepare the food or eating it (especially the antipasta she serves).

Great time with Juanita. Once the presentations were made, we made the pasta for the focaccia and then for the orecchieti. By the time of the break, Juanita had prepared us a plate of cold cuts to share. Then a demonstration to create the different pasta then in turn we made the pasta. Then the tasting.... A delight. Thank you Juanita for learning in laughter

Juanita, our pro, was fantastic. She welcomed us into her beautiful home, taught a group of 6 to make pasta and focaccia. There was plenty of hands on work for all of us. Then we shared a meal with what we made as well as some delicious snacks and sides she made. Highly recommend!
