5.00This was by far the highlight of our trip to Aruba! Our tour guide Donavon was exceptional. He was friendly, funny, informative and made everyone feel comfortable. He is also a great photographer and was always jumping in an offering to take family photos. The tour started when we were picked up promptly at our hotel, after we picked up two other groups, we headed to the Arikok National Park, where w drove through the unique landscape and learned about the island's geography, wildlife and history. Our first stop was the natural pool. The area was stunning! We were provided with snorkeling equipment and got the chance to swim in the pool that day as the water was calm enough. Our next stop was the Fontein Cave, where we explored drawings left by Arawak Indians and tried (with no avail) to see some bats. The last stop was Baby Beach which was a beautiful spot to swim for a bit before heading back to the hotel. All in all, an awesome experience!

4.00Overall, this was a great way to see various parts of Aruba you might miss if you just stay by the tourist areas. The sights were beautiful, the views spectacular, and the beaches lovely. Baby beach was a good stop to snorkel. Donovan was a great guide. He answered our questions about living on the island, giving us a better perspective of the culture and politics. I really appreciated that he hiked down to the natural pool with us and showed us how to enter the water. I noticed that other groups were left on their own while their guide stayed at the top. My only complaint is that the advertising for the tour doesn’t give you a good sense of how physically demanding this trip is. First you ride across the island to baby beach in the back of an open truck at 80 km/h. It’s great if you enjoy 20 minutes in a wind tunnel. The 4 wheel drive section is a VERY bumpy ride. You have to hold on as you bounce up and down in your seat. One member of our group, who was already experiencing some minor back pain, ended up being diagnosed with a ruptured disc on our return. I don’t want say that the trip was responsible, but it certainly didn’t help. Some warning would have helped us make better decisions.

5.00Cross Aruba Tours was an excellent choice for our adventure. Not wanting to rent 4x4 cars or UTV we chose Cross Aruba Tours to experience the National Park, Conchi Natural Pool, Fontaine Caves and Baby Beach. Our large group was a mix of adults and teenagers. Happy we chose Cross Aruba Tours and were paired with our driver/guide Nicky. The adventure was fun for all — “off roading” on the roads of the park; swimming/snorkling and rock jumping at Natural Pool; learning about ancient settlers in Fontaine Cave including having a fish pedicure on Fontaine fountain; and finally snorkling and roaming the beach at Baby Beach. Everyone had a great time. Nicky our driver was excellent — great personality. Nicky shared ice cold bottles of water and snacks right when we needed them. Overall a great experience. We would love to return for another Cross Aruba Tours trip again!
