The day begins at 8 am, when your Egyptologist guide collects you from the airport, or your hotel or cruise ship, for a day tour of the stunning Nile-side city of Aswan. You’ll travel by air-conditioned car to view the Aswan High Dam, an engineering miracle built in the 1960s to control the flooding of the Nile. Next on your itinerary is the Unfinished Obelisk, a part-carved obelisk abandoned in its quarry by ancient quarrymen: your guide will explain the techniques used by craftsmen to create these classic monuments. Most likely this obelisk was created for Queen Hatshepsut, the extraordinary female pharaoh who sometimes wore the traditional pharaoh's beard and built a vast temple on Luxor’s West Bank. After the Unfinished Obelisk, you’ll transfer by road and boat to the green and beautiful island of Philae at the heart of the Nile. Here you’ll explore the pylons, columns, and courtyards of the stunning temple of Isis, the Egyptian fertility goddess whose cult spread from Egypt across the Roman Empire. Drop-off to your hotel.

5.00I traveled solo and took the Aswan tour with guides Alaaedine and Mubarak, and driver Taher. I highly recommend this tour for the following reasons: I was promptly picked up from the airport around 9 am. Our tour began with visits to the Unfinished Obelisk and the High Dam, followed by the Philae Temple. We enjoyed a boat ride to a Nubian village and had dinner there. What made this tour exceptional: The trip was flexible, and my request to include a swim stop was accommodated. The boat trip was like something out of a fairy tale. As the only traveler, I had a private tour. The pricing was very reasonable. I had two guides for some parts of the tour. The dinner was fantastic, and we dined at the highest point in the village. Alaaedine is an incredibly experienced and professional guide who explains things very clearly. Mubarak is highly motivated and dedicated to showing you the best of Egypt. Our driver was absolutely fantastic, with an excellent knowledge of the area, which saved us a lot of time. I will definitely choose them again for my next trip to Egypt

5.00I did this as part of a nile cruise and also went to the nubian village on a fellucca and boat. Nermien is a very knowledgeable woman guide. As a lone woman traveller it was great to have a woman guide. I would highly recommend her and the trips plus abu simbel.

5.00I had a spectacular time with Nermien, my guide for the day in Aswan. She went out of her way to ensure I was comfortable and having a good time. Helped me a lot in bargaining and advised me on where to purchase genuine items at a good rate. Apart from her amazing guiding skills she has a wonderful, warm, fun and friendly personality which made the experience much better. Truly an unforgettable experience and definitely someone I would recommend to people once I go back home!

5.00The tour was very amazing. Nermien, our guide picked us up from the airport and took us to the High Dam. It’s a huge dam with great views. The next destination was Philae Temple. The boat ride had a picturesque background and it was amazing experience. Very professional staff and well managed tours.

Seeing the high dam and Philae temple learning so much about it was amazing.We had visited these places with Nermein,Very knowledgeable. Recommended.she was very helpful and very friendly.
