5.00Take this tour if you are in Athens! It is an easy walk to the top of the Acropolis and there are a lot of stops along the way as our awesome guide Michael told us about each section of the historical site. Our son really enjoyed all of the detailed descriptions of the Greek Mythology behind the existence and construction of each temple or monument. The smaller group size of just 12 people per group was also a benefit as we were easily able to stay together. We highly recommend this tour!

5.00It really is a big climb so you need to be ready for it! Worth it for the experience and views although I did the Unexpected Athens tour the next day and enjoyed it more. Good to do both for a pretty in depth exploration of the city.

5.00As others have said, this tour brings ancient history alive. The walk up the hill to the Acropolis and Parthenon is a bit taxing, but well worth it. Our guide was VERY knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. What the ancient Greeks were able to design and build is almost unimaginable. Highly recommend! Be aware that there are a couple reasonably-priced entrance fees that need to be paid in addition to the cost of the tour itself.

2.00Honestly, I felt a little misled by the description. My tour guide was very nice but definitely not an expert in Greek mythology. I felt like for the price, we should have been with a tour guide who was an expert. What we got was more akin to any general acropolis tour and for the price it did not feel worth it and I had such high hopes for this! Was really looking forward to it and left disappointed

5.00Dian was amazing. She made the acropolis and agora trip fun and interesting. She was also very helpful with my 85 year old who was in attendance. Finding shade and places for him to sit as she weaved her stories about Greece. It was an outstanding excursion.

5.00Angelica was an amazing and very kind guide. I could tell she cared deeply about our experience and gave us an awesome one! She was organized and was a wealth of knowledge of the history and mythology surrounding these mind blowing sites and structures. I learned so much from her and truly enjoyed the tour. We went in early June; from 8:30-12:30. It is a lot of walking and it was very hot, but so worth it! Wear shoes with good grip, a hat, and a lot of sunscreen! Oh and bring water, but if you forget, there’s a couple of places to stop and get a bottle at the beginning and before you head to Agora. You won’t regret taking this tour!

5.00Our tour guide Kalli was knowledgeable without drowning us in information. She told great stories and kept it moving, but with plenty of time for pix and always the offer to be the photographer. Going at 5pm was perfect. Great light, not as hot and a fraction of the crowds!

2.00I do not recommend this tour at all. I specifically booked the tour because I hoped I would learn more about Greek mythology in connection with the Acropolis, but the guide did the exact same stops as all the other tours and groups. I listened to the free audio guide afterwards and it was actually way better than the tour. I also booked the early tour in hopes to beat the crowds, but because the guide/group was very slow (partially also thanks to the Americans in flip-flops), we only reached the top around 9:30 and had to queue just to get to the top. So: save your money, download the free audio guide and make getting up early actually worth it.
