Aughnanure Castle - home to mighty O’Flaherty chieftains., a very notable family in galway region. Donal O’Faherty later married the sea pirate Grace O’Malley. The grounds on this castle is well preserved.
You will have ample time to explore the grounds of this history abbey and gardens.
The capital of Connemara, and founded by D’arcy on off the 14 tribes of Galway. Where John Alcock & Arthur Brown crashed landed on the first transatlantic non stop flight.

5.00What an amazing tour!! We visited the castles, the Abbey, & scenic overlooks....& got to take in the magic of West Ireland's beautiful countryside, mountain ranges, & waterfront. Our guide, Jerry, was friendly & knowledgeable, & our driver, Mike, had impressive command of the tiny, curvy backroads. We wanted an experience that was above & beyond the typical tourist stops, & that's exactly what we got! This was hands down our favorite day in Western Ireland! We couldn't recommend this tour more!
Very good tour stops and ruggedly beautiful scenery along the way.
