AN UNCONVENTIONAL GASTRONOMIC EXPERIENCE AWAITS YOU!

I’m a local foodie, excited to share the indigenous flavors of Morocco. My small-group tours blend traditional cuisine with storytelling and historical insights.

Far from the typical tajine or couscous dinner, this tour is a culinary journey through Moroccan food culture: starting at a local restaurant, exploring specialty shops, and ending with a special moment—welcoming you into our home.

There, you’ll enjoy homemade dishes prepared by my mother while experiencing Moroccan hospitality and traditions in an intimate family setting.

We’ll sample 12+ dishes—from home-style cooking to specialties such as Refissa, Mrouzia, Harira, and Briouat—plus sweets and Moroccan tea. Along the way, I’ll share each dish’s ingredients, story, and cultural significance.

Groups are limited to 8 guests, and vegetarians are welcome.

Absolutely wonderful food tour with Abdel. The food was amazing and he was such a great host. We were honoured to be welcomed into his home and his attention to detail was impeccable. There were 5 of us and we learnt a lot, not just about the food but about Moroccan culture. I cannot recommend highly enough.
No trip to Agadir is complete without this tour.

Firstly, Abdel is perhaps the nicest person I have ever met. He was a wonderful host and we didn't once feel like customers, we felt like a friend was showing us around. This is a bit more than a food tour because Abdel is so knowledgeable; it also felt like a full cultural experience. This wasn't our first food tour, it wasn't even our first food tour in Morocco, but it was the first time we took our kids on one so we prepared for a bit of fussiness. No problems at all! The food was delicious and my kids have been asking non stop when I'm going to make it at home! The highlight was visiting Abdel's lovely family home where we experienced his mum's cooking in a cosy setting. I'm not a lover of fish so I was apprehensive when the meal was his mum's fishball tagine. I'm now converted - his mum is an incredible cook. It was such a privilege to be welcomed into their home and we were genuinely sad when we left, such was the warmth we received. Abdel has clearly spent a lot of time researching and getting this tour perfect, right down to his mint tea which, I really must say, is the best tea I have ever had in Morocco (and I've had a lot)!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our authentic food experience with Abdel Tours. Abdel is an excellent guide and host. The whole tour is really well curated and Abdel clearly has a passion for what he does, which comes across clearly. He mixes details of the food, the ingredients and the preparation with history of Morocco and the people. The whole trip lasted about 5 hours from the time our taxi picked us up from the hotel (organised by Abdel and included in the tour price) until we were dropped back to the hotel. You do truly receive an authentic food experience. Abdel brought us to places we probably wouldn’t have made it to ourselves and he has organised specific dishes for his guests to sample, including his mother’s recipe for sardine balls which we were provided at a fish cafe in the souk. All the foods and sugar cane juice we tasted were delicious and I can guarantee you won’t come away hungry. This is absolutely a 5 star tour and is excellent value for money. If in Agadir, book with Abdel and you won’t be disappointed.

Fabulous food tour with Abdel eating food we would not have experienced otherwise. We particularly loved the fish meatballs and sardines. We tasted macaroons prickly pear and sugar cane juice. All delicious. Abdel was charming courteous and very passionate about the food and the city. He thought of everything and I would highly recommend this tour with a super guide. Thanks Abdel for a wonderful day.

Great introduction to Moroccan foods. Abdel was a fantastic host, and created such a nice atmosphere to enjoy our food. The dishes were different from anything I have had before. Well explained and delicious. I was so inspired i purchased a tagine to treat my friends at home with one of the dishes. Our group was so glad we took this tour.

This is a fantastic way to visit the souk and see the city. The trip took over 4 hours and this is a real positive. It was not rushed and very relaxed. This amount of time is needed as there is so much food. Abdel is a superb host with great knowledge and passion for Agadir and Morocco. The highlight was of course the food. Abdel has found first class suppliers and we loved everything. We could not recommend highly enough.

Abdel was an outstanding host and the food was amazing. It was a great introduction to Agadir and so much more than a food tour lasting over 4 hours. It was very relaxed and unrushed. We would highly recommend this experience.

Abdel was a fantastic host and was very knowledgable about the food and answered many questions we had about Agadir and Morocco. The food sampled was delicious and we liked some of the dishes so much we ordered at a restaurant later on in our trip. Abdel chose hygienic places to eat and showed us around the Agadir souk while sampling great food. Lovely group of people on the tour was a bonus. Would highly recommend.

Very interesting tour with culinary discovery of unknown dishes. Abdel our guide was very caring for our small group which allows to listen to everyone and make purchases also in the souk.

Absolutely wonderful food tour with Abdel. The food was amazing and he was such a great host. We were honoured to be welcomed into his home and his attention to detail was impeccable.
