Indulge in all things sweet and savory on this Vienna food tour that will give you a total introduction to Austrian cuisine, from upscale dining to delicious street food. With your local guide by your side, you’ll skip past the tourist traps and discover the city’s culinary highlights in some of our favorite local neighborhoods.
You’ll sample classic Austrian dishes like goulash, käsekrainer (sausage with cheese), tafelspitz (boiled beef), and/or krautfleckerl (cabbage and noodles). You’ll also get to taste some Austrian sweet treats like apricot dumplings and homemade cake. Wash it all down with a beer or spritzwein, and a coffee or tea in a local cafe. Note that our tours vary with whatever is on season and on the menu that day.

5.00Christoph and Wolfie were great guides and Christoph in particular was very funny. unlike other foodie tours I have done this took us over a large distance and out to the suburbs. The food was delicious, my favourites were the goulash and the ice cream dumplings. Very generous portions so don't eat breakfast before the tour. Great value for money.

5.00This was such an incredible experience. My husband and I booked the private food tour as this is normally not an offering for food tours. We spent our day with Patrick and he was such an amazing guide. We went to locations I would never think to go to and we had the best time chatting with him and eating. This tour is completely worth it and you can tell they truly care about you getting the very best experience while you are in Vienna. I highly recommend booking this tour!

5.00Maria was an excellent guide. We saw four different districts and had quite a variety of delicious food. She even helped us navigate the subway system so it was a perfect way to start our trip here in Vienna.

5.00Great variety of local cuisine, led by Patrick, who not only guided us through his local neighbourhood but is well versed in Viennese cuisine. One of the best food tours we have done, arrive with an empty stomach. Highly Recommend.

5.00Wow!! What an adventure!! Maria was so kind and gave us such relevant information. I appreciated her teaching how to use the metro and about the different districts in Vienna. On top of that, we are so much food!! She took us to a mix of popular/old places and markets. It was such a fun morning! I would highly recommend for the beginning of your trip, as it’s a great way to get to know the city.

5.00Maria was our tour guide. She made extensive use of the public transit system to move us from from one part of the city to another throughout the tour. Most of our stops were outside ring. So in addition to the food we also had a neighborhood tour. She also described the coffee culture of Vienna and how the neighborhoods we visited were different from one another. The high point was a visit to a wurst stand with a very entertaining owner/chef who gave us many samples and some very good beer.

5.00Maria with Wolfy’s Adventures was a wonderful, knowledgeable tour guide! It was a nice selection of food and drink. Everything was delicious! Maria not only told us about the restaurants and the food she gave us historical and cultural information as well. My husband and I had a great time, we highly recommend it!
