Start your day by meeting your wine-certified guide at or near your Queenstown accommodation. Then travel into the Gibbston wine region, home to top-rated wineries, accomplished winemakers, and, of course, delicious Pinot Noir.
Throughout the day, enjoy four separate tasting experiences, sampling a variety of local wines at both boutique cellar doors and well-known locations, including a visit to the wine cave at Gibbston Valley. Be hosted by your friendly wine guide and cellar staff, who will educate and entertain you with local winemaking facts and stories. You also have the option of indulging in a scrumptious lunch at a local winery bistro (additional cost ordered on the day).

Gibbston Valley Winery
The first stop of the day is at the iconic Gibbston Valley Winery. Gibbston Valley is one of the region's founding wineries and it's here that we will join a guided tour through New Zealand's largest underground wine cave and enjoy tastings of some of their world-famous wines.
Kinross Winery, Cellar Door & Cottages
Kinross is our second stop and a fantastic location to try a range of different wines across multiple labels. Along with producing their own wines, their cellar door host will also showcase wines from smaller producers and share their incredible stories of how they came to be. After your wine tasting, we allow extra time to enjoy lunch. Kinross has a range of delicious dishes on its menu, including pizzas, platters, smaller bites, and mains. This is ordered and paid directly on the day, giving you the flexibility to order what you would like based on your taste and budget.

5.00This was such a great tour! First off, there were multiple options for pickup locations and the operator was flexible in letting us change once we arrived in Queenstown and understood the area more. All of the wineries we went to were great. We especially liked Kinross. You get a lot of wine on this tour, and lunch was very yummy. The true highlight of the day was our tour guide Alanna. She was so nice to talk with and she made the day so fun! We started with ice breakers to get to know our group, and we played a fun game before the first tasting. We are so glad we had her as our tour guide, and wish her all the best in New Zealand. Thank you Altitude tours for an awesome day!!!

5.00Fabulous tour! We loved it so much. We loved that it was a small group, comfy bus, and great wine. We bought 5 bottles. Our driver Stewart was very knowledgeable and friendly. We even got a surprise gift at the end. 100% recommend.
