Disappointed! Need a licensed tour guide and not a tour escort

2.00If you are just looking for a tour escort taking you to different places, this could be ok for you. If you want a tour guide walking and talking you through the historical background of the places, you need a professional licensed tour guide. If not, they will just take you to buy the entrance ticket and telling you that they will wait for you outside. I was ended up sitting in El Jem Amphitheatre and listening to the explanation from ChatGPT. In the capital city 'Tunis', it seems that it is much easier to find a licensed tour guide. I had my best experience in the two tours in Tunis including the archaeological site of Carthage and Tunis of Medina. Both tour guides were professional, knowledgeable and interesting. In contrast, the tour escorts I met in Tunisia can only give you the unproved answers as they are not sure about it themselves. This tour was advertised a lot much cheaper. However, when you made the final payment, the actual prices were much higher.

5.00I traveled completely solo and this was a true VIP experience — just me and the guide, no group at all. From the beginning, the service felt very personal and flexible, exactly what I was hoping for. The guide went above and beyond and even surprised me by taking me to see flamingos, which was an unforgettable and unexpected highlight of the day. I was never rushed and was given as much time as I needed at each stop, whether for photos, walking around, or simply enjoying the atmosphere. Thanks to this trip, I discovered that Tunisia is a truly fantastic place for a holiday. The guide was extremely helpful, not only with history and explanations, but also with shopping tips, helping me get better prices, and giving great advice about excursions and activities. If you’re traveling alone and want a genuine VIP experience with a knowledgeable, kind, and attentive guide, I highly recommend this tour

5.00We really enjoyed this experience- we felt so well looked after. Ayoub arrived promptly to pick us up and throughout the day told us many things about the local areas and Tunisian life. We were free to spend as much or little time in areas as we wanted which suited our preferences. A small fee into the local museums also covers you into the main attractions at both Kairouan and El Jem. The day ran smoothly and it was well worth the money. Ayoub was so kind and made us feel part of his family. Will definitely be booking again will Ayoub.
