  I am on a solo trip and when originally booking, I didn’t realize this would not be with a group. After 5 minutes of being with my tour guide (Agung), I knew I would have a good experience and be completely comfortable. Since it wasn’t with a group, Agung was completely flexible with tailing the trip for my experience. I mentioned I would plan to find a temple for water purification the next day and he quickly responding saying we could do that during our day. He switched the originally planned temple destination for one that allowed me the water purification experience…that saved me so much time the next day. We saw so much during our day tour and got to know each other. He taught me so much about the culture of Bali, we would even make random stops to see statues he mentioned in our conversation. His English was 10 out of 10. It was a great experience! It was also very helpful that I was staying in Ubud for pickup so that avoided us having to rush to return to Southern Bali

  This was an amazing tour. We had an incredible time with our tour guide Pakis, who came with us to the monkey forest, temple, and rice paddies. He was so kind, knowledgable, respectful, and patient. Also, a great photographer if you want some personal mementos. The coffee plantation was great - they gave us a sample of 14 teas/coffees to try (and they were all amazing!) The monkey forest was such a cool experience with several rangers around that helped us feel comfortable with the animals. The rice paddies were absolutely breathtaking, and we enjoyed lunch overlooking Mt. Batur. We cannot recommend this tour enough!

  This is a must if you want to see and live a great Bali experience. We picked the all day tour and loved it. The tour is private and our driver Arya was just Awsome

  Margot was an amazing guide and excellent photographer. He was super knowledgeable about all the sites we visited and got all our good angles at the various sites we went to. Margot was a monkey whisperer and we got some amazing shots at the monkey sanctuary. He was very transparent and gave us options on everything. We definitely customized where we could. Tangent, because I know it’s the cost of doing business, but I’m not sold entirely about the tour company bringing you to specific stores for the coffee plantation, the silver making, and batik making aka tourist trap shops. I get the company probably has some commission contract with these places; we weren’t forced to buy anything and could leave whenever we wanted to, which is why I’m not sold but also not upset. Some other tour groups I’ve been on basically hold you hostage. The coffee plantation was slightly sketch on account of the single Luwak (the nocturnal civet that poops out coffee seeds which gets roasted into coffee) being locked up in a depressing cage. I’m not a huge fan of Kopi Luwak and all of my Google research says it’s not the most ethical, almost like foie gras production. So if the company could relook that aspect of the tour, I’m sure it’d make the tour more enjoyable. Overall, would definitely recommend especially if you’re short on time and want to get a taste of everything about Bali and what the Balinese are proud of.
