  A couple of hours going through the mangroves. Saw quite a bit of wildlife but the passengers were noisy and scared most away! When we booked it said a max of 8 people but the numbers in the boat were much higher. Flamingos were good to see. Saw scarlet ibis but the numbers were low and far away. Take binoculars and long lenses to get a better view. An enjoyable trip but more a tourist sight seeing tour than something for nature lovers.

  Our driver Summer was so sweet and full of knowledge. The tour guide was funny and had much to share about Caroni. Beautiful birds and nature. Definitely recommend!

  Marcus chose an excellent first tour for my visit after learning what I’m interested in seeing while on the gorgeous island of Trinidad. His arrival time to pick me up was at the exact time and the drive to Caroni was very pleasant with him explaining what I would be doing there. This was an incredible tour. The staff were very concise with their instructions, very patient with allowing guests time to capture the scenery with phones/cameras, and quick to spot any wildlife that may have gone unnoticed. The boats were comfortable despite having ~30 guests onboard while having minimal impact on the sanctuary environment. This was an exceptional introduction to the uniqueness and beauty of the country of Trinidad and it was very evident that the people were proud of the sanctuary and the work done to preserve it.
