The Bay of Islands is a popular tourist destination in New Zealand. This guided tour shows you an abundance of breathtaking picturesque views giving you plenty of fantastic photo opportunities. The area is often referred to as “the birthplace of New Zealand”, due to the past events that took place there. These historical events led to the shaping of New Zealand.
Your tour will include a Bakery/Café stop for you to grab a coffee or something to eat “on the go”. Your Bay Of Islands tour guide will instruct you on where to catch the shuttle buses back to the tenders should you wish to stay in town longer once your tour ends.

5.00The day was better than expected as we packed a lot in in a short time but it didn’t feel rushed. Our guide, Rob, had a great sense of humour and made the experience one to remember - top marks. Even the chocolate shop was better than our local one.

5.00Small group (25) visit to several area attractions. Haruru Falls was beautiful, Kauri Walk and the Kauri trees was an unexpected delight. Very good lunch stop and finally, glow worm cave visit. Our driver/guide (Robert) was exceptional.

5.00Highly recommend this tour. We had Dyson as our driver, very informative, friendly and gave clear instructions re meeting & times as we had lots of stops. Loved the glow worm cave, waterfalls and majestic forest! Great for all ages.

5.00You will LOVE this excursion! Everything from beginning to end was wonderful. The sights we went to…. The amount of time spent at each…. The lovely hosts at the glow worm cave and our amazing driver and guide Dyson who was so knowledgeable, funny, clear with his instructions and a great driver. What a great day!!!!

5.00Rob was our great driver & tour guide for the day. He was able to leave early as all guests were there which meant that despite our ship leaving quite early that day Rob packed in all advertised stops and we had sufficient time at each one. The highlights were the forest walk and glow worm caves but lunch of pies at the Bakehouse was lovely and the wood place was interesting too. If on a cruise ship definitely book this tour which is far cheaper, fewer people and therefore more personalised than same tour offered by cruise ship- & they guarantee to get you back on time- all our bus of 25 were in fact from the ship. Great job Rob thanks.

5.00I had never heard of a glow worm before, but now I will never forget them. The glow worms were the highlight of this tour, but the rest was very good as well. Our driver was able to time our arrivals perfectly to avoid busy periods and long waits.

2.00The tour talked about the wonderful seafood in the area, but took us to a bakery for lunch ( huh?) We were at the end of the queue and some of the food items were gone. No fresh seafood items. The glow worm cave was ok. The forest was just ok. The waterfall, wood carving factory were disappointimg.
