The half-day trip to the bear sanctuary and the bran castle is highly recommended for anyone visiting the area around Braşov. The trip was perfectly planned - from being picked up at the hotel in time to being able to join the early, less crowded tour in the bear sanctuary. The friendly tour guide was able to share a lot of background information about the two destinations, and thanks to the small group size (4 people), also our questions could be answered individually.

Loved our trip to the Liberty Bear Sanctuary. The guide gave us so much great information about the bears in the sanctuary and the sanctuary's mission. it is a beautiful walk and we got to see so many bears, in additional to wolves and some adorable horses.

This was a great trip. Easy to book in advance and our guide, Alin, was helpful in arranging logistics with us in advance of the day, and advising us on tickets. Transport was very comfortable and Alin was a very helpful, relaxed and knowledgable guide. The bear sanctuary was a unique and amazing experience, and Bran castle was well worth the visit. We were given a lot of information on the journey, and had the opportunity to ask any questions. This was a lovely trip, well worth the cost. Thank you

Our guide picked us up promptly near our apartment. He provided us with safe transportation, and enthusiastically shared his knowledge of the bear sanctuary, castle and Romanian life. He was open to answering all of our questions. We ended the tour with a lovely viewpoint of Brasov. We enjoyed being in a small group (3 others) and highly recommend this tour.

Just got back from Romania last week and I had to leave a review for this tour, it was really good. My wife and I did the Bear Sanctuary and Bran Castle day trip from Brașov in September, and honestly, it was the highlight of our whole trip. Our guide Alin picked us up around 8:30am. The man knows EVERYTHING. We hit the Libearty Bear Sanctuary first, about half an hour outside Brașov. Wear decent walking shoes! The paths aren't difficult but it's a proper forest walk, not some zoo with paved paths. We probably spent about 2 hours there and could've stayed longer. After the bears, we drove to Bran Castle, the castle itself is actually fascinating. Alin was great at telling us the history of the place. The castle is way smaller inside than it looks from outside. Lots of narrow, steep stairs, the rooms are really cool and interesting. The views from up top are insane. If you're staying in Brașov, just do it. Try to get Alin as your guide if you can. My wife's already planning our next Romania trip and she wants to go back to the sanctuary. Total time was about 8:30am to 5pm back in Brașov. Absolutely worth every penny (or lei!). Thank you from Brian and Liz.

Well worth it... saw lots of bears and learnt valuable information as to why they were in a sanctuary. It was not like visiting a zoo... although protected by fences the bears were in a forest environment and appeared in many turns of the corners... we took many photo's. The guide was very knowledgeable.

Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Even took us to see a panoramic view of Brasov after. I would definitely recommend this to anybody.

We spent most of the day with Alin who was a great guide, always on hand to add extra info about Bran Castle and bears in general. He should double up as a Bear ranger!! After visiting the Bear Sanctuary we decided to join Alin on the Bear Watching trip. The hide was in a perfect position and we were able to park alongside it. It was a great experience to be able to see the rescue bears followed by these beautiful animals in a natural habitat. Real food for thought. On the other part of the tour, Bran Castle is worth a look. Dracula connection aside, it is a fascinating bulding. Thank you Alin!!
