Here you will listen to an introductory talk to set the context of the tour and explain the series of events that lead up to August 1969 and the beginning of a period of conflict in Ireland,more commonly known as the'Troubles'.

I was a blank canvas on Irish history especially Northern Ireland. I am no longer. Well balanced, informative and worth every pound. Jackie was a wonderful, knowledgeable guide through the complex history.

Our cab driver, Jackie, was an absolute delight. Very knowledgeable and very friendly. The tour is packed full of information, you definitely get your money’s worth! Would definitely recommend to anyone planning on visiting Belfast and wanting to learn more about Northern Irish history and culture.

What an experience, as southerners living in the uk. We have always known about the conflict. Hearing it unbiased from a local who spoke of the normality of the troubles, the history and knowledge was incredulous. Michael our tour guide even brought his own pen so we could sign the peace wall. Truly rememberable experience. With recommendations to try a Christmas Chip on top

We LOVED our tour with Jimmy. He explained the history in a way that was easy to understand and gave us a holistic understanding of what was happening at the time. The personal anecdotes and stories he shared made the experience emotional, unforgettable, and moving. The small group size (the number of people in your party) made the experience more impactful and gave us the chance to get to know him more. This is a must-do tour while in Ireland. Be sure to bring cash to tip - you'll definitely want to!
