Visit the Bulgarian town of Belogradchik on this guided, full-day, minibus tour from Sofia. Just 180 kilometers north of Sofia, nature has sculpted the amazing Belogradchik rocks, a group of strange shaped sandstone and conglomerate rock formations. The view from the old fortress of the fascinating formations is breathtaking. Use some imagination and visions of 'the Rabbit,' 'Adam and Eve,' 'the Ice-Age Squirrel,' 'the Rebel' and many more can be seen. On the way back to Sofia, visit the beautiful Iskar Gorge. You will make some stops at gorgeous viewpoints and also at a nice cafe/restuatnt for an ejoyable afternoon drink.

1.00Very unreliable. My tour was booked for 26/11, and they cancelled at 6pm (18:00hrs) on 25/11. This is a very short notice to arrange for any other tour. So I contacted Viator to help me submit a review so that others aren’t affected. Choose some other company to go with, this tour isn’t reliable at all.

4.00The rock formations and cave were so picturesque and surely if you have time given the place isnquit far from Sofia ! During the summer time there is a stage at belgradchek rocks which impedes the main view for photos which is a bummer ( July to September mid) so beware of that if your planning a summer trip there and get bummed like us if your into taking a lot of photos. The overall tour was smooth and the guide Micheal was very knowledgeable and friendly. One hiccup though was the car the agency provided for us given it was a private tour didn’t have any good air conditioning and it was a steaming hot day so that is something they can work to ensure better customer service and satisfaction.

3.00Very nice scenery but more than 6h30 drive on a day of so-called about 10 hours while we did it in 9h and we stayed there about 2h30, pay attention many turns for those who are sick plan medication...
Booking cancelled less than 24 hours before departure

1.00Would've loved to go. Unfortunately they decided to cancel the tour less than 24 hours before departure, due to the low amount of signups. Which is understandable from their point of view. But that leaves me with no decent time to arrange and book a different tour. Bit of a downer since this was supposed to be one of few planned things during my trip.

5.00Everything was perfect. Belogradchik is one of the most beautiful places in Bulgaria. We ate traditional food and it was great. The cave was also beautiful and interesting.

1.00If you plan to book a trip with this company, I suggest you do so at your own risk. If you look at their reviews for their various trip offerings, you will see that they have a pattern of canceling at the last minute. If you decide to give them a chance (like I did) and run to into any issues with your booking or have any questions for them - don’t expect to get a response. I wish I had just paid an additional $30 for this day trip and booked with a competitor. I suppose that $30 might have gotten me professionalism and responses to my inquiries.

5.00Impressive fortress. We were lucky that the leaves were starting to turn autumn colours, so it was particularly beautiful. The guide, Stefan, was friendly, informative and easy-going. He was also very considerate and he made the trip pleasant for everyone. Despite the long ride (3 hrs one way), it was beautiful scenery and the time seemed to pass quickly.
