Welcome to the Troll Museum in Bergen - the largest museum in Norway dedicated entirely to trolls and fairy tales. Centrally located in Bergen city, we aim to bring you closer to the magic of Norwegian folk beliefs and the creatures that populate them. Our museum is a unique blend of detailed handmade art, traditional storytelling, and modern digital technologies. The exhibits incorporate augmented reality features that superimpose moving elements and sound on the art you can see. In addition, the museum is equipped with immersive technologies and interactive elements, all of which expand on the physical exhibit and bring you further into the world of fairy tales. This translates into a unique museum experience where you can dip your toes into Norwegian folklore and discover how the idea of trolls has changed over time. The museum also has a number of board games and creativity zones where you can have some fun, as well as a small library stocked with books of fairy tales.

5.00Brilliant, interactive, investing for all ages! So much fun, especially on a rainy day in Bergen. So pleased we found this place!! Children spent ages designing trolls that came alive in an animation, playing traditional Norwegian games and creating family of troll photographs. Adults enjoyed the history and storytelling just as much.
A fabulous museum that surprised me!

5.00What a lovely place! I think it was an incredibly cozy museum with exciting and educational content. It was much larger than I had thought, and I was positively surprised at how varied everything was – from great storytelling and atmospheric scenes to fun activities for both children and adults. A place I would definitely recommend to visit.

5.00It was a delightful museum. I loved how interactive it was. I wish I had my grandchildren with me! I took many pictures so I can share them when I get home. I bought interactive troll magnets for each of them.
