Discover the island of Djerba through an immersion in its crafts and culture.

Start your adventure with a visit to Guellala. You will have free time to explore the traditional pottery workshops, cellars and ovens where local craftsmen craft masterpieces out of clay.

Then, explore the artistic village of Djerbahood, a true open-air museum, where you can admire works of street art along the picturesque alleyways.

Your journey will take you to the Ghriba Synagogue, the oldest in Africa. (except Saturday)

Then you will stroll through the streets of Houmt-Souk, the capital of the island. You can buy some souvenirs there.

The last stop will be at the Spanish castle also called Fort Ghazi Mustapha.

This tour offers you a complete experience of the island of Djerba, mixing history, culture, crafts.

The tour can be flexible and feasible in the morning or afternoon according to your desires.

You don’t get picked up in an air conditioned vehicle we were squashed into a cab 5 of us which was not roadworthy! We stopped 5 mins from our hotel at the port for no reason ! Supposedly waiting for other people we then drove about 7km to the old bridge and waiting about 20mins on a building site for 6 other taxis to arrive people were moved from our taxi into a larger taxi! We visited a dherba pot makers spent far too long there doing nothing ! We went to synagogue worth a quick visit ! Then to village of artistry all the time walking round the guide spoke in French we were the only English people there despite saying guide would be English speaking we finally got to the capital in the dark and only had 30mins there not long enough! Drive round port and to the Firt but unable to go in as too late and couldn’t see anything in the dark then we waited another 15 mins for the other passengers to get back in our taxi and have a 25min uncomfortable journey back The whole tour could have been fine in half the time no stop for toilet break or refreshments all in all very poor! The only saving grace was our taxi driver who was friendly and quite informative

No tour guide, plus other problems! Did message local agent. She was very apologetic and just hope same problems do not occur for other tourists

Real insight in the culture, history and every day life of Djerba island. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, we booked an English tour, but the Mr.Ahmed spoke mainly German and French. Our wonderful guide and taxi driver (his name starts with R) translated all in English. He also spoke Arabic, Berber and French and was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We loved the taxi drive where we did not have to use seatbelts and free time in each location. All the residents of Djerba were very welcoming and proud of their culture/history and we would love to return.

The organization of this half day was perfect, the stages well chosen and we were able to discover both culture, crafts and local life. A special mention for our guide Fouad, who contributed greatly to making this half day unforgettable. He was not only very professional and passionate, but also very kind and always listening to us. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover Djerba differently
