This was a very good day tour to get familiar with the major tourist sights of Shanghai. Our guide, Tom, was very organized and knowledgeable and I would be remiss if I did not compliment our driver as well (the traffic is crazy).

Silk factory stop was unnecessary. Waste of time. Tour guide was ok. All in all tour was mediocore. Best part was we had a nice driver who was always on time

This was supposed to be a tour of “best of Shanghai”—a visit to major sites for visitors to see the city. Yet we wasted an hour at a factory store, that was not part of the description of the tour on the website. When I called the representative before booking, I was specifically told there would be no such “activities”. Also wasted an hour on a very mediocre sit-down lunch. The result was that there was no time to actually spend a little time to enjoy other places we were taken. (For example, we could have had time to *walk* at the Bund, which is why people go there—vs. be taken there, stand in one spot while the guide talked, and then be rushed away without experiencing it). Infuriating to lose 2 hrs of my only day to see Shanghai with a factory store and lunch at a tourist trap. Viator can and should do better by its customers

The history of the places we visited was amazing. Our tour guide Tom had an amazing memory for facts. A pity we couldn’t take in all the dates and facts. Needed a print out to go along with the many photos I took.
