  Overall, the tour in Thessaloniki was good and covered interesting sites, but the presentation felt a bit dry at times. Unfortunately, it was hard to hear the guide while in the van, which made it difficult to stay engaged, and I even found myself nodding off occasionally. With clearer audio and a bit more energy in the delivery, this could have been an excellent experience.

  A very comfortable and succinct tour for those who don’t want to waste time finding all the interesting sites, and would like to do so in comfort (Greece in summer can get quite hot). The tour was tailored to our needs, with willingness to accommodate breaks and points of interest. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and funny, and the van was spacious and clean. We loved the experience.

  An interesting and mind-expanding visit to four sites that tell the story of the city and region. As our enthusiastic and super-smart guide Stella, herself a trained archaeologist, put it: “23 centuries of history in a four-hour tour!” In fact, we felt very lucky to get Stella at all, because the basic tour does not include a guide - just a local driver. Trust me, get a guide and ask for Stella by name. She will transform a collection of castles and churches and monasteries into a narrative of Alexander, Romans, Ottomans and WWII. This is such an important place in the history of civilization that you’ve never heard of.

  John was AMAZING….and funny. Koether our interest the whole time with his VAST knowledge of history. Even corrected some of the facts we thought we knew. (What did our 9th grade World history teacher know way back in the 50s. LOL). John was also very flexible and made sure we saw what we were most interested in…and how much time we wanted to spend in each spot. (Now THAT’S what I call a private tour.). Well worth the money.

  Thessaloniki With our driver John and our tour guide John was amazing. They were knowledgeable and catered to our every desire. They spent more time at those locations that interested us most l. Great trip that I would highly recommend!
