Tirana Airport – Apollonia – Vlora

Apollonia Archaeological Park
Pick up at Tirana airport and transfer to Vlora. On the way we stop to the ancient city of Apollonia situated on the famous Via Egnatia - one of the most important cities in Roman times. The Roman Emperor Augustus Octavian studied here.
Vlore
Afterwards we continue to Vlora, the town of Albania’s Independence for overnight.

After breakfast we depart for Saranda. Drive on the spectacular Albanian Riviera looking down at the Ionian Sea. Breathtaking sceneries await us at the Llogara pass - 1000 m above sea level. On the way we visit the Ali Pasha Castle in Panormi bay a.k.a Porto Palermo, name given by the Fascist Italian soldiers during WWII.
Butrint National Park
We continue on to Saranda, to visit the ancient city of Butrint a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city was first settled by Greek colonists and was continuously inhabited for centuries forming archaeological layers of passing civilizations. It is situated in a beautiful peninsula among dense vegetation.

Then we drive to Saranda for Overnight
Saranda – Gjirokastra (UNESCO) – Berat

Gjirokaster
After breakfast we drive to Berat. We stop in Gjirokastra a UNESCO site and museum town with beautiful and very distinct architecture. We will visit the Fortress which is used as the venue for the National Festival of Folk Song and Dance and has an Arms’ Museum with weapons from WWII. Next we visit the Ethnographic Museum which is also the house and birthplace of our ex-dictator, Enver Hoxha.
Berat
We depart for Berat, the city of 1001 windows, one of the most attractive and characteristic towns in Albania and protected by UNESCO as a world heritage town. In the afternoon explore the city of Berat independently, especially by night the views of the two old neighborhoods Gorica and Mangalemi are magical. Overnight in Berat.
Berat (UNESCO) – Durres – Tirana

Berat Castle
After breakfast we visit the Castle and the Onufri Museum. Berat castle is of particular interest as people still live within its walls in their traditional houses, as have their ancestors for centuries. The castle used to have over 40 churches of which 7 still remain, including one turned into Onufri Museum. Onufri was an Albanian Icon master painter of the 16th century who painted many orthodox churches in Albania and Greece.
Durres Amphitheatre
After this interesting experience we depart for Durres one of the oldest and most important cities in Albania founded in 627 B.C. We take a sightseeing tour of the Archaeological Museum and the Amphitheatre situated in the middle of the modern city in an inhabited area.
Tirana
Continue to Tirana and take a sightseeing tour of the city and its most important attractions, Et’hem bey mosque, Clock Tower, boulevard “Martyrs of the Nation”, the Pyramid, Bunkers in the central area of the city and much more. Overnight in Tirana.
Tirana – Airport
Rinas
After breakfast, free to explore until time of transfer to Airport. End of our services.

5.00We had a fabulous tour of Albania with Erges who is a great guide and driver. Albania is a beautiful country and worth seeing. Aria travel are a great option and I highly recommend them.

5.00Endria has been sooo knowledgeable and such a historian we thought he’d studied history at Uni but he is just passionate about his job. 5 days with a guide showing us the highlights of Albania is a great insight into the history of Albania. Such a beautiful country with mountains everywhere. The Norway/Switzerland of The Ionian. Would def recommend. We had Endria for 5 days.

5.00Thankyou so much Aria Travel for guiding us throughout our Albanian trip. The views were amazing, the foods were delicious and most importantly our guide, Berti, is the best.
My experience was amazing. I will come back in Albania because it's a place that amazes me everytime I visit.

5.00Wherever you go North,South,West or East of Albania you will see a wonderful nature starting with mountains which are plenty of them,forests,hills,lakes and the two seas Adriatic and Ion. The locals are welcoming and the traditional foods delicious.Plenty of history to discover.

5.00We didn't want to drive ourselves, so booked a private tour for 4 of us. We were slightly worried that Aria was so much cheaper than other companies, but they turned out to be great. The hotels they chose were excellent, they happily adapted their 5 day tour to our requirements, and our guide Endri was a very safe driver and good guide. Would definitely recommend them as a tour company and Albania as a destination.

5.00Our first trip after the pandemic hit world tourism was to Albania, and we chose the service of aria travels, to be frank, to get an invitation letter to enter the country. We did text many other travel service, but the patience and co operation aria showed to answer every silly query,made us the visit something to look forward to. Even thought the service was for just four days out of our 8 days stay, it was worth the wait. We were picked up from the airport by Mr. Jetmir, with whom we had chat for almost 2 straight months after booking. The person seemed very calm and gathered, a very sift spoken and patient person with two little kids on board. We started our trip from Tirana, durres to berat, then to gjirokaster, sarande, vlore, dermi, lagora and then back to Tirana. The day before departure we visited Kruje too, a must visit old colorful and traditional market. Our guide for the trip was Mr.Neli, a very responsible and knowledgeable person. The way we created a bond helped us to make the trip very joyful. Every day we learned something, a part of history, a piece of their culture, or even a word from their language. The unforgettable experience was the visit to both berat, gjirokaster and to the durres. Neli, who is a resident of berat,took us to the most delicious cuisine served restaurants and he was patient enough to go on board with our choice of taste too. He took us to most surprising and watch worthy spaces and explained every bit of history around those places. May be because of the way he explained, my 5 year old still remember the chivalry of Ali Pacha and remembers the gullies of the seven windows prison in gjirokaster. Every place we visited stand out with their own set of traditions and culture, but i must say, even though, people might not seem friendly at once but once you embrace the city, yoh will see a warm smile wherever you go. Albania is a pure gem. A country, worth visiting, to give your mind a piece of fresh start. Thank you Aria, you definitely welcomes our family to your country and helped us to cherish best moments of our life ❤️
