This tour gives travelers a good oportunity to not only have fun in the river, but to get to know a charming part of Rio de Janeiro state.
Our Rafting Trip happens 2 hours away by car, from Rio de Janeiro city, in the country side of Rio state in the Paraibuna river. This river is located in a town called Três Rios ,about 170 km from Rio city
The whole trip takes about 8 to 9 hours, with about 2 hours of pure adrenaline.
The rapids on Paraibuna river are usually safe and fun for families and groups of friends, ranging from level 1 to 3. Price includes pick up and drop off in Rio city, rafting, guiding services and equipment rentals ( lifevests, helmets, paddles)
We offer free high resolution gopro photos and video, sent after a few days via email, with a dropbox link to access it.

Our tour starts with a pick up in Rio city, at major hotels at 7:00 am. After driving for 2 hs we reach Três Rios city and our head quarters by the river side. After wearing the equipment and going through some safety instructions, we go into the Paraibuna river for an approximate 2 hours ride ( according to the water level and rapids speed ) The rapids on Paraibuna river and mostly safe and fun. In rare ocasions the water level may not be suitable for rafting, so customers will be advised about that a day before, so they can pick another date for the ride ( in case they are available, otherwise we will issue a full refund) During the ride, travelers will not only enjoy the river, but also the landscape around it, with its gourgeous mountains of the Atlantic forest, as well as beautiful ranches . Photos are charged separately But a link to access the Photos and videos of your adventure are provided for free, via email, a few days after the ride, in exchange for a review :) A nice lunch is included and provided after the ride, except beverages and desserts.

5.00So much fun on this day! We felt really safe with the guides but also had an exhilarating experience in the rapids. The lunch after was delicious, and a special thank you to our driver who picked us up and brought us home after!

5.00This was freakin great! The driver and tour guide were great (speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese, extremely knowledgeable and friendly, it was really fun, and the woman who made lunch was a sweetheart, also all the dogs were freaking awesome!!

5.00A truly wonderful tour! Bernardo was awesome and me and my two teenagers had so much fun. From pick up at our hotel to the river and then back was flawless. I can’t say enough about the cool hostel where we were given a room to change after rafting and an absolutely delicious lunch surrounded by amazing gardens. Highly recommended this tour!

Beautiful area and river paddle was spot on perfect for our level of experience, in safe hands with this team. A lunch was also provided which was the icing on the cake - great job. 5.00Do not drink the city water out use it to brush... Stayed on Nova Friburgo first week the water is amazing. Next week the city of Rio De Janeiro.... Can't be more than 5 minutes from a toilet...
