We begin riding out from Tirana’s Old Bazaar, one of the city’s most popular daytime attractions. This lively area, known for its traditional market, local cafes, and street art, is flat and easy to cycle — perfect for starting our cycling tour.
Skanderbeg Square
Our adventure begins at the vibrant heart of Tirana, Skanderbeg Square. This central plaza, spanning 40,000 square meters, is surrounded by iconic landmarks like the National History Museum, Opera House, and National Bank. The square is named after Albania’s national hero, Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, and features his impressive 11-meter-tall statue. The square’s eclectic mix of architecture showcases Tirana’s diverse history, from Ottoman-era structures to Fascist and Communist influences, creating a fascinating backdrop for our exploration.

5.00My bike tour in Tirana was the highlight of my visit to Albania. I had a great tour guide in Stivi who was so knowledgeable in the history of Albania and patiently explained the historical and political significance of the various sites visited.

5.00This was a great bike tour of Tirana! Riding through the central part of the city is a bit harrowing because of people and cars but the sentiment is very laid back. The tour has great stops and we opted to bike around the lake at the park- very much recommend. Our guide even climbed a tree to get us huckleberries to try. Bike tours are my favorite way to see a city and this tour allows you to see a lot.

5.00The trip gave a good overview of the city of Tirana. I had wondered through the streets previously and this trip put names and activities on the buildings. Bicycle was the right way to do the trip because walking would have limited the area we could visit. Our guide - Gancy- was excellent. He was easy to understand and knew his stuff very well. He was good at answering my questions and gave me recommendations for activities the next day.

5.00Although they forgot our booking, we were able to start the tour only 1 hour later by our own action. But it was great. Beautiful city, fun tour and a local guide who told with great passion about the city, culture and history. Nice spots seen!

5.00I was very fortunate to have Stivi as guide in the cycling tour. He is passionate about his city and an excellent storyteller. Stivi gave me very helpful recommendations: the most beautiful places to visit and how to get there, Which restaurants are the most suitable, or which taxi company to choose for getting to the airport or moving around the city. I truly enjoyed his explanations and learned many new things during my first visit to Tirana. Stivi is not only knowledgeable and well-informed, but also genuinely pleasant to be around. Above all, he’s a wonderful person. I recommend him wholeheartedly. Thank you so much, Stivi!

5.00Super fun trip! Lots of info and beautiful route! Bikes were fine. Cycled through the center and park. Stopped for coffee on the way. Arid the guide and owner is super nice and caring and knows a lot to tell! Highly recommended!
