Try classic conch dishes like chowder & fritters, a traditional plate of Bahamian cuisine with steamed chicken, peas and rice, Bahamian macaroni and cheese and plantains. You’ll gain insight into the cultural and architectural offerings in Nassau, the capital and commercial center of the Bahamas, and experience where the locals eat as you stroll the charming, tree-lined streets. Enjoy personal attention from your expert guide on this small-group tour, limited to 12 people. Please note we can not accommodate vegan diets on this tour. Princess was very nice and we finished the tour with full stomachs during our downtown excursion! We dined at a delicious Bahamian spot across the street from the courthouse and other judicial houses (Bahamian Cookin'). Polished off a plate of plantains, rice, chicken, conch fritters, Mac&cheese. Really good! Nassau was preparing for its Junkanoo celebration/parade with steel bleachers all down Bay St.! We headed over to the Graycliff Chocolatier, tasted scrumptious chocolates! Drank some satisfying Piña Coladas at the John Watling’s Distillery before heading back towards the Straw Market area. We stopped at a boutique hotel (Towne Hotel) with a talking macaw in the lobby and had some enjoyable cocktails! We completed our tour at a restaurant that used to be an old church (Captain's Deck) and had some more amazing Bahamian food on the 2nd floor! All the food was delicious! Thanks again!

Our guide Mark was very knowledgeable and friendly. Food was good a great way to see the sights and visit the GreyCliff and see Nassau.

Booked this just because we weren't sure what to do. Glad we did, Pierre was excellent. Very knowledgeable and funny. We started at the Bahamian Cookin' Restaurant (family-owned). The food was great (Love the boiled chicken and mac & cheese). I recommend booking early, since Nassau shuts down at 4 PM. We booked the last tour at 2:30 and felt a little rushed. But no fault of our guide. My family enjoyed ourselves, enjoyed the food, and the history. We would do this again for sure.

Our walking food tour with Nicolette on 12/27/25 was terrific! We started off with a full lunch plate with delicious Bahamian foods and a drink. As we walked with our tour group of 13, Nicolette was very engaging and always open to questions. We had chocolate samples, various drinks, fish tacos, and tostones with fish. The time goes by quickly and we were out and about for three and a half hours. There’s lots of interesting history dispersed throughout the tour and we would recommend it for a fun way to get to know Nassau!

As a foodie, we would recommend this walking tour to anyone that visits the Bahamas. Gives a nice well-rounded experience to sample different foods from the island. The tour guide was knowledgeable and a local filled with stories and experiences.
