  Really fun and nice people! These hours at black pearl made the entire stay at Aya napa perfect. Perfect arrangement from start to finish. Good food included. Recommended!

  A brilliant trip from start to finish we got lucky the sea was calm, we went as a family of 4 adults 3 kids (11m, 3yr and 7yrs) everyone thoroughly enjoyed it! Food was brilliant, drinks were very fairly priced at 6euro a cocktail, music wasn't loud at all as I have read in other reviews, the entertainment was funny, and kept everyone laughing lots of interactive sections for the kids. pram was fine to get on board also. • Choppy and tacky

  Very rude woman taking payment as you board the boat. As other reviewers said, the sea was choppy, and several people were vomiting. To be fair the crew cleaned the mess up quickly. The pirate entertainment was not so entertaining for our children, who kept asking how long we had left. Some people seemed to like it, but it was quite tacky. The vegetarian option for lunch was … potato. With potato and rice.

  + Nice bath from the boat -very loud noise Something happens all the time, if it's not entertainment from Jack and his partner, it's music. People take up a lot of space and spread out with bags so the staff go and pock up people so everyone can fit on the sun deck if they want. Available bar if you want to buy drinks, the food served was quite ok. Summaro a pleasant experience at sea, but one needs to like that bump and loud noise! It's not a nice and calm ride. • THE BEST CRUISE FROM AYIA NAPA

  Fantastic family day out. I'd been wanting to sail on the Black Pearl since we first saw it moored in Ayia Napa Harbour 16 years ago, but never quite had the time. However we were thrilled to go this time with our 2 children (teen and pre-teen). Boat trips are abundant from Ayia Napa Harbour, but none seemed quite as fun as the Black Pearl. Captain Jack Sparrow and his Pirates of the Carribean characters will welcome you on board for 4 hours of fun......blending light adult comedy that will fly over the kids heads, yet also very much getting the kids involved as members of the crew (so fun for families, groups, couples or individuals wuth plenty of friends to be made). The cruise blends live action, interactive drama with audience participation, games, local landmark/history/pirate facts, a wonderful lunch included (beautiful Cypriot roast potatoes with roast chicken legs, tzatziki, seasoned rice and coleslaw), a fully stocked pay-for bar (plenty of rum and beer and soft drinks available) and of course a few swim stops in the crystal clear turquoise waters along the bay (optional jumping from the high ledges of the ship or down the ladder at the back). There's comedy banter with any passers by on land or at sea and plenty of cheering and laughs.... it really felt like we were having much more fun than any of the people on the other boat cruises who looked on curiously! What really made it though were the excellent friendly staff snd characters who did everything to make everyone feel included. When they weren't entertaining with their drama and comedy, they were clearing away lunch plates, helping to direct people around or getting thrown in the sea. Even when we walked past the ship a good while after the cruise, they were hard at work cleaning ready for the evening cruise. While the ship aesthetics ate great, these staff members really make the trip everything that it is and they deserve every praise we have for them. All in all, a great value trip thanks to an abundance of great staff. Make sure you book it! (P.s. we found it cheaper to book direct with the black pearl online. Nice snd easy!)

  In general we enjoyed this trip. The swim stops were lovely and the use of life jackets meant that our 3 year old could get in the water too. Lunch was good, simple food, cooked well. The pirate school and dancing on board was fun and I enjoyed listening to the information about local points of interest. For me, the downside was the laddish banter. I understand that the characters are pirates and are supposed to be mean, but the humour was not to my taste and I'm glad my 3 year old didn't understand a lot of it. Lots of it could be passed off as poor taste, but I really didn't like the jokes about people's bodies who were minding their own business on the cliffs and encouraging the children to shoot (imaginary) ex-wives and girlfriends in the face.

• Not a trip for smaller kids

  I specifically ask the promotor on the habour if there was loud music on the ship becouse my son has problems with loud music and loud noises. She told me "no there will be no loud music". The Whole trip there were music and only few activities for small kids (My Boy 3 years). Stop promoting the trip as the intertainment is for kids. It is not !

  From the moment we boarded the Black Pearl to the moment we left, we loved every moment! The tour was awesome, the pirates were awesome, the food was good, the drinks were a good price! What is not to love!!! In fact I'm not sure who had more fun, us or the kids. We have a great time, so please don't change a thing!!!
