• Sharing my experience on the culture pub crawl with the locals

  Hi. I am writing this review as I was so impressed with this experience. Gil and the other host ( sorry can’t remember her name ) run an exceptional experienced operation. They were so professional and hosted well. Their experience showed on the tour with the knowledge and kindness to the locals . It was certainly an eye opener the way the locals live . We were shown round the town and the locals were so friendly and made you feel safe . The main focus was to share their experience and knowledge of the area. It made me appreciate what we have in the UK but we still complain about it . Everyone talking to us greating us and showed us warmth , seeing we were walking around and see where and how they live . Children playing football games outside shops and having fun. I will be honest I was a bit nervous to start with as I didn’t no what to expect but honestly I would recommend this tour to anyone who would like to see more of the local area and culture . The hosts stayed with us all night until we finished at 1.30am. Her words were I am here to stay with you until you want to go back to the hotel. I hope this review is helpful and if you are interested book it up . When I return to Boa I will be booking up again. Thank you Gil and team .

  

• Brilliant little bar crawl run by locals

  Did this tour yesterday and it was delightful. Lovely local people running a bar crawl through Sal Rei on Boa Vista. I’ve never met such lovely, happy, funny, proud people. They love their island and they should do. Fully recommend this to everyone. Thanks Rivaldo, Sabre and the others.

  It was a nice tour with nice people. It was nice to also get our experiences with the locale. We also had a good guide, who gave a lot of explanation. They are super sweet people so we experienced it

  We’ve used Gil tour and taxi on both our visits (so far) to Boa Vista and from the moment you reach out to book, the service you receive is absolutely second to none. This time we had our transfer to our resort, the night out with locals in Sal Rei trip and also did the east of the island trip that took in a lot of the local life. The night out was great, picked up from our resort and straight into shots before a pub crawl around Sal Rei. We did a Saturday night so met a lot of locals, the people of Cape Verde are fantastic. The warmth and friendliness of everyone we met will stay with us for a long time. Plus we had the world’s best kebab and I’m not joking. The trips worth it just for that 🤣. The trip around the east of the island was pretty bespoke and tailored for us. We took on a lot of local villages, had an awesome meal and again met and interacted with the locals. Please if you do visit Cape Verde don’t just sit in your resort, get out and meet the locals. They really appreciate seeing you and it’s nice to actually put something in their economy. Special shout out to our excellent guide Veronique (or was it Veronica from Deutschland 🤣) and driver Eloy who made our trips and visit to Boa Vista all that more special.

  

  

  

  

  

• Evening pub crawl

  Had a great night out, taken to place's i would never have gone, off the beaten path we're the locals hang out, excellent and knowledgeable guide (veronique) made us welcome and at ease. Tried the local food which was really nice, the shots (ponch?) went down a little to well (very nice, thankfully it wasn't Groge). We would highly recommend stepping out and mingling with the locals on a great night out, huge thanks to Veronique and the driver, sorry not going to try and spell his name.
