The Prof. Luiz Saldanha Marine Park was created in 1998, and is very rich and unique, home to over 1400 species of marine animals and plants, making it the most biodiverse marine reserve in Europe. Great experience with Vertente Natural on their Boat Tour and Kayaking Trip!

5.00During the week of April 17, 2026, our family participated in the Boat Tour of the Arrabida Coves with Vertente Natural, leaving out of Sesimbra. We had such a good time with our guide, Leoner. She was an excellent tour guide and really gave us the local perspective. It was not a busy day, so the trip was very small and we were so fortunate to be able to spend a few hours with Leoner experiencing the beauty of the caves and the beaches. She went above and beyond to make our trip memorable! The trip was so much fun, and we were so impressed with the company and guides, that we then decided to come back later in the week for their 3-hour kayaking trip. Wow, were we glad we did! My young son and I were able to kayak together (we were in a double kayak) through the caves and onto the gorgeous beach, it was a highlight of our vacation in Portugal!!! Our kayak guide, Jessica P was also amazing, she was a great trip leader and made sure we were all safe and had fun! Both of our guides were very conscious about educating their customers about the importance of keeping the park pristine and protected for the enjoyment of future visitors. Also, as we are English speakers, it was also very beneficial that our guides were very proficient in English (: I can’t say enough about our time with this company, and we hope one day we can come back to Portugal and do their overnight kayak trip with them. Thanks again to Leoner, Jessica, and everyone at Vertente Natural for a great time!

5.00a minute ago New I went on a boat tour along the coast of Sesimbra with Francisco and it was hands down the highlight of my holiday! The team were patient with me when I got lost and they came and found me, I got a private tour with amazing Portuguese snacks, wine and most of all amazing views of the sea with a thorough history and geology session which was right up my alley! I would 100% recommend and a huge thanks to Francisco and Eva for accommodating me at such last minute! ❤️😎

5.00I forgot their names, but the guide and the captain were very sweet and did a great job. Throughout the trip they were very attentive towards everyone´s needs and always smiling. Also the lady at the reception was very helpful and provided a windbreaker for the trip free of charge. Overall a recomendable experience despite the weather.

5.00We booked this boat tour through Viator who booked it with Vertente Natural who contracted a private boat because they had so many tours. Everyone involved was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful & truly amazing. We wouldn’t change a thing & highly recommend spending time on the water while in Sesimbra!
