We will pick you up at your accommodation in downtown of Panama City to go by car to the Chagres river, highlighting several points of interest on the way there, where we will take a boat and get into the Panama Canal. We will pass by huge ships and experience the scale and importance of this magnificent marvel of engineering. Inside the Canal, at the Gatun Lake, we will arrive at a group of islands in a protected area in order to see as many species of animals as possible, among them monkeys, crocodiles, birds, iguanas, sloths and others. You will identify animals and develop your vision to spot them. This is an extraordinary and memorable experience, completely outdoors and that you will enjoy a lot! Note: This tour is going outdoors (jungle and a lake) therefore there is not access to a toilet, it is suggested to use the bathroom before pick up time that will be informed the night before the tour.

5.00The tour guide was knowledgeable and really nice. He knows about Panama as a whole and where to find the monkeys. The boat ride was bouncy but safe. I'd recommend this tour to anyone.

5.00Ricardo organized a fantastic tour! Easy pickup/drop off from my hotel, knowledgeable about the Canal Zone and its wildlife, and a great experience observing howler, tamarind, and capuchin monkeys. Highly recommended!

5.00Our tour began at our hotel lobby, where Dan was ready and waiting to bring us to the dock. We travelled in a clean vehicle with 3 other parties, boarded a boat and had a nice long ride in the lake. saw 3 species of monkeys, 2 of which jumped onto our boat, as well as bats and a crocodile. Dan took us to the Gamboa resort for a restroom stop before heading back. He dropped us off at a different location from where we were picked up per our request

5.00Best tour guide. We saw 3 different types of monkeys, bats, and a crocodile. Our guide was very attentive, I even noticed him watching to make sure each person captured their photos before moving along. Tour finished around 12 so great option if you’d prefer a free afternoon, as I think the tour lasts for the sufficient amount of time

4.00We loved it! Money well spent. I felt like we got good value for the $70 ticket price. Alex was our tour guide, he picked us up at our accommodation on time. He was very friendly and kind. There weren't any functioning seatbelts in the van, this didn't bother me too much but some people might not like that. You do reach highway speeds for part of the tour. We got on a small boat with the rest of our group, about 12 people. It was a good sized group. We didn't really see any of the locks of the canal since we transferred from van to boat at Gamboa. But we did cruise right alongside a massive cargo ship that was traversing the Chagres River. It was very cool to see it up close. We arrived at the Monkey Islands, there are a number of them, they are a group of small islands at the mouth of Gatun Lake that are inhabited by a few different types of monkeys. We did not get off the boat onto an island or anything like that, the islands are pure untamed jungle, there is nowhere to dock and set foot an the island since the tree branches extend out into the water. But we did pull up to a number of different islands and saw 3 different types of monkeys, a crocodile, some birds, some sleeping bats, and an iguana. We didn't see a sloth, but they can be elusive and hard to spot. There are a number of other boats that pull up alongside you as well at these islands, since there are multiple tour companies operating here. It was a really cool experience with the monkeys, they are fully wild, but they have learned that the boat operators give them food, so they sometimes come right onto the boat to grab a banana or some other food that is brought for them. Overall, a very cool experience. I would recommend this tour to others.

5.00Daniel was our Guide, he was excellent! Very knowledgeable & shared lots of information. On the boat they tried many little coves to find us 3 kinds of Monkeys, Mini Bats, loads of birds and a 10 Ft Crocodile. Very good tour!
