Great stories, saw orcas, not really so close to the puffins

5.00It was a great tour with fun stories. We were surprised how far we were from the cliffs with the puffins. Difficult to get a good shot with a 300mm. If you want to see the puffins up close it would be better to go by land. We did, however, see a pod of orcas, so that ended up being the highlight. That and the guide’s stories.

5.00Very informative. Fun facts with personal foot notes. Our leaders; Kris and Bee, were knowledgeable about the island (being natives). Had funny stories along with history of the island to share. I'm recommending this boat tour to family and friends.

5.00We enjoyed our boat tour and the personal service from the tour operator. The captain was very cautious about safety, so we felt safe despite the changing weather forecast. After the tour, we asked for recommendations about what to do nearby before the ferry trip back, and the staff went above and beyond to help us maximize our time on the island. We ended up hiking up the volcano after the staff recommended this for our family.

5.00My wife and I are so glad we took a tour with this company. We loved how they were mindful of safety, but instead of cancelling our tour due to choppy water, they adjusted it, and we got to see more of some other islands on the less windy side. Our guide was fun and entertaining and helped us learn about the culture there from a local’s perspective. Very well done! Very enjoyable time.

3.00We booked a 1 hour boat tour at 2:15pm. We booked our ferry ticket back at 4pm. Our confirmation for boat tour said it was a 1 hour Ribsafari. The boat tour they put us on was not the Ribsafari and was way over one hour. We arrived back in harbor at 4pm - we missed the ferry and had to wait 2 hours til the next ferry which messed up our whole day. I would book with company direct so you know exactly what you are getting. We also didn’t even get to see Elephant rock as advertised.

5.00The boat was in excellent shape and well handled. Happily, the seas were very calm for us that day (a rarity, apparently), so we could get very close to the cliffs and even part way into a cave or two. Our docent gave an interesting and dryly humorous talk that everyone quite enjoyed. Highly recommended.

5.00Our tour guide Johanna was wonderful! She is a local who grew up on the island and had tons of great information to share with us. In addition, she was funny and personable. The boat tour was a fantastic experience! We absolutely loved seeing all the incredible scenery including many different types of seabirds. It was a super enjoyable afternoon and if we returned we would happily do it again! :)

5.00It was so fun! Westman Islands is out of this world and Rib Safari made it better. Our guide Chris is fun, knows history and tells a lot of interesting stories. Their soundtrack while sailing: awesome! We had bad weather and the company called us as the boat captain canceled our tour, but they went the extra mile to make us happy offering us a place with a smaller group. Absolutely loved our experience.
