20 min drive. Leaving the cruise port we will drive along the midwest coast and you will see the Flamingo Airport and the teamo beach. For snorkelers and divers it is attractive to explore the Te Amo reef.
Salt Pier
Using Bonaire's salt, sea and wind, salt accumulates in impressive crystal formations. Bonaire's salt pyramids can be seen upon arrival by sea or air, each about 50 feet high and containing about 10,000 tons of 99.6% pure salt. The salt pier juts out into the Caribbean and is where the salt is transferred from the pile to the boats that will transport the salt around the world.

5.00This excursion was very easy to find the place to be to meet when we got off the cruise. The guides were very friendly & organized. They provided so much info about the island and we got to get off the bus a few times to investigate the different spots. The beach they took us to and let us stay for 2 hours was absolutely beautiful. They were there to pick us up and bring us back to the boat. Price was much cheaper than what the cruise ship offered.

1.00I booked the tour as today’s date was listed as available but I went to their office to double check the meeting location and they said there was no tour today— only days that cruise ships dock. I’d written to them the night before about the meeting location- they never wrote back. The company also rents motorcycles and scooters and their office is pretty shabby. When I mentioned this place to a local she rolled her eyes.

4.00Our group of five planned this to join another group of cruise friends. We thought it would be a smaller tour group. However, it worked out OK. It was nice to have a tour of the island with some of the history and a couple stops, and then time at the beach was welcome. This particular beach was pretty shallow for a long way out, which was great for shorter people. The water was warm and very clear.

4.00Kiki, Our driver and guide was remarkable and very informative. The salt mining, flamingos, donkeys and other wildlife was all fascinating and added a lot to this tour.

5.00Kiki was very informative about the island . On time and got us back to cruise port in ample time. Very informative about the animals on the island donkeys and flamingos. The salt mines were interesting and the pink color on the he water. She took her time with questions and answers when not driving

3.00Missed the big bus due to time ahead which was not aware of. Had to go in an old Land Rover with other passengers. Wouldn’t do it again.
