Amazing. Great choices - many local, family owned places. Guide was awesome. Even better- able to sub beer for wine in 2 of 3 stops.

Fabulous evening learning about Bordeaux’s food and wine scene. Our flight into Bordeaux had been delayed making us late for this tour and our guide was very accommodating, letting us join mid-route. Highly recommend this tour.

Spending New Year’s Eve in Bordeaux was a dream come true—and our private food tour through the city turned it into something truly unforgettable. From start to finish, it was a celebration of flavor, history, and the unmistakable charm of French joie de vivre. We met our guide in the early evening and immediately knew we were in good hands. Warm, passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable, they led us through Bordeaux’s historic center, weaving in stories of the city’s culinary traditions, its wine heritage, and its role as a cultural crossroads of France. We wandered through cobblestone streets and charming squares, stopping at artisanal bakeries, cheese shops, and family-run épiceries that had been around for generations. Highlights included melt-in-your-mouth canélés, a local pastry with a caramelized crust and custardy center, and decadent foie gras served with fig jam and warm, crusty bread. We sampled local charcuterie and a variety of cheeses—from creamy brie to pungent blue—all perfectly complemented by small pours of Bordeaux reds and whites throughout the journey. But this tour wasn’t just about the food—it was about atmosphere. The city was alive with that special New Year’s Eve energy: lights twinkling overhead, people gathering for celebrations, and the sound of music drifting through the streets. We ended the evening in style at a fabulous tucked-away wine bar, where we were welcomed like old friends. The selection was spectacular, with a curated list of Bordeaux’s finest labels. Our guide helped us choose a glass (or two…) that suited our tastes perfectly, and we toasted to the new year with some incredible reds while nibbling on small bites and sharing stories with locals. Final thoughts: This wasn’t just a food tour—it was a cultural experience, a walking feast, and the perfect way to ring in the New Year. The private format made it feel intimate and personal, and the combination of incredible food, world-class wine, and local insight was absolutely priceless. If you’re ever in Bordeaux—especially during the holidays—don’t miss this experience. It’s the most delicious way to say bonne année!

Great walking tour of Bordeaux...definitely worth it! We were introduced to a few places we may not have found on our own.
