Prambanan Temples
The second destination on our tour introduces you to another facet of ancient Javanese spirituality - Prambanan Temple, a spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest Hindu temple complex in Indonesia. Witness the grandeur of Hindu architecture, characterized by tall, pointed structures, intricately engraved with scenes from Hindu mythology. The complex, built in the 9th century, is dedicated to the Trimurti - Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva - each housed in a separate towering shrine. 5.00Amazing experience getting to climb the Borobudur temple. Ekko was a great guide. We really enjoyed the morning at the temple, both learning about the temple but also getting to explore it. It was really warm, so we really appreciated that Ekko was okay with us skipping the second temple and taking us to a section of Yogyakarta with art and craft stores, where we enjoyed shopping for local crafts.

5.00We had a great time with the perfect weather and breathtaking scenery. It was especially amazing because of our guide, Praja Prihana (I hope I got the name correct!). We had a great time chatting with him and were welcomed to his village, which is a must for us on our next trip!

5.00We had a great day with Ekko. He was early to our hotel and courteous. His English is excellent and he shared his knowledge with us throughout the day. Ekko helped us navigate the crowds and entry process at both Borobodur and Prambanan. At Borobodur, Ekko helped me get the right size of the mandatory sandals, j took three attempts. At Prambanan, Ekko helped us find a guide, Kukuh. We thought we’d tour Prambanan on our own, but Kukuh made it a great visit, with his excellent knowledge an English. A tiring, but very good day.

5.00It is our first visit to Indonesia. One of our stops was Yogyakarta, the spiritual and cultural capital of Java. We took the one day private all inclusive tour of Burubudur and Prambalan. Our driver was Hindra, and he was most professional with excellent knowledge of local culture and history, also perfect English and communication skills. He was punctual and very skillful and carefyl driver. We greatly recommend the private tour of Burubudur and Prambalan with Hindra and his company.

5.00We are three kiwis in Jogya for new years and thoroughly enjoyed this tour of Borobudur and Prambanan. Our guide Irhas was wonderful and spoke very good English. He was flexible with us, gave us heaps of interesting background information and made the day easy. Borobudar is the type of place where it would be easy to get stuck in a huge queue if you do it wrong but Irhas has it all sorted so we just sailed in. He also chose a great lunch spot for us. Great way to make temple touring easy and fun.

4.00I booked this tour for convenience but frankly it is way too expensive for what it offers. Abd since I did visit both places on my own last year as well I can tell you you can do it at much less $. First of all they don’t make clear there is an extra charge if you want to get dropped back at your Borodobur hotel. They offer free pickup which makes you assume drop off will be the same but it’s not. They claim it’s written and I am sure it is but certainly in small print and you know why. Also the private guide is NOT. It is the same guide provided by Borodobur even if you buy entrance ticket on your own. It’s not even a private guide. They shoved us into another foreigners group. Prambanan guide us extra. So if you are lazy to arrange everything you can join this tour but if not you can save half the money.

5.00This was a really enjoyable day. I got to go to both temples and had ample time at each one. My driver Hendra was very helpful and had provided me with good information on all locations. He always made sure to find me at the exit. Everything was very smooth and it was a very enjoyable day

5.00Borobudur and Prembanan are treasures one must put on their wish list. Such wealth of art and architectural details and mesmerising history. Our tour was great made possible by our friendly driver Prima. The Indonesian hospitality and kindness of people know no parallels. People here are warm, kind and willing to go an extra mile. Make sure you see the sunset at Sewu which is on the same compound as Prembanan. Please choose any day other than Monday. Most temples are closed. And book Borobudur with the climb.
