5.00Robert provided a fantastic tour. Based on other reviews, I rearranged our itinerary to book with him and we were not disappointed. He provided clear communication on where to meet him to avoid the long security line. He prepped us beforehand that we were going to go straight to the Rosetta Stone to avoid the crowds. As a result, we were able to get right up close while Robert told us the history. He then took us through the other highlights of the museum based on our interests. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kept us engaged throughout the entire 3-hour tour. Robert is a fantastic storyteller and I would definitely book with him again.

5.00My husband and I were guided by Robert Miller through the British Museum on a three hour private tour. There are countless reasons why a private guided tour are important if this is your first visit to the British Museum. If possible, book with Robert. Robert is an art dealer, has been involved in the art world for many years and is a long time member of the British Museum. To say the museum is large / gigantic is an understatement. There is far too much to see and it is quite crowded. So, a guide for your first visit is important to not only maximize your time so you see quite a few of the major pieces, but also to help you learn how to approach a piece and look at it. Richard also helped us appreciate the architecture of the building and the various galleries. Richard will tailor the tour to your interests. He helps to navigate the entrance into the museum. This is a main tourist attraction so when it opens in the morning there is a crush of people. Bear in mind, it only gets busier as the day grows so we recommend being there in advance of opening hours waiting in line with Richard. I cannot imagine navigating through the museum as a first time visitor without a guide. But given the education and information we received from Richard, we are now prepared to hopefully return to the museum on our own and experience more. A last bit of information about Richard, if you plan to visit other museums during your visit to London let him know. We received good tips on pieces of art to ensure we saw while at another museum.
