Bruges Beer Experience

Use all your senses in an interactive manner at the historical centre of Bruges, and discover the most fascinating aspects of beer. Learn more about Trappist and abbey beers, the many beer types, the brewing process, women and beer, food pairing and much more in an innovative way. For the youngest visitors (5-12 years) there is a Kids’ Tour, an exciting children’s story about the Bruges bear, which can be read or heard in ten languages. In the museum you will also find an amazing bar, where you can enjoy no fewer than 16 draught beers (gluten-free beers, soft drinks and alcohol-free beer are available as well) and the museum shop. In here you will find a wide selection of beers, ranging from local classics to limited editions.

Informational musuem with superb insights although could easily be printed rather than using scanner,tablets and headphones. Could spend 90mins in there and the €14 and €20 tickets were worth it. Would recommend getting the 3 beer tasting ticket for the full experience. Unsuitable for under 18s as there are no soft drink or non-alc options at the bar,although we were previously told there were. Overall 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Over complicated and let down by the technology.

Our party of four went on this on our last full day in Bruges. Spread over two floors, the top floor exhibition was okay, nothing special and the use of iPads and over-ear headphones would have been better/easier if there were simple signage explaining the exhibits. On the next floor down, three of the four sets of iPads stopped working, and only one of our party knew what tall of the displays were about. At the end of the tour we complained but we were told that this does happen between floors sometimes and we could have replacement iPads and start again. We did not! Don't waste your money.
Very interesting and fun visit of 1h30.

One and a half hour tour for 14€. With a comfortable tablet and headphones, audio commentary, quizzes. We learn a lot about the origins of beer, recipe, brewing etc. Very kind Welcoming and frankly friendly and informative visit. Possibility to add a tasting at the end, for 10 €, in the bar overlooking the large square. Or choose from the beginning a ticket for 20€ including tasting.

Great museum with self-paced audio tour. They did a great job explaining the history and cultural aspects beer with lots of whimsical and fun facts. I highly recommend you include the beer tasting at the end - nice cap to the visit!
Really interesting experience full of lots of information and a wide variety of tasty beer to try in the bar.

The beer experience was full of lots of information and takes a good few hours to fully take it all in. We chose the option with beers at the end which was great to try a variety of flavours that we wouldn’t have usually tried. We also purchased some more beers as they were so good! Definitely recommend doing this.

Excellent visit for beer lovers. Fun and informative tour. Inaccessible with a stroller far too many stairs. Provide a baby carrier for young children.

We don’t normally do the listening tours but really enjoyed learning about the origins of beer making and the various methods of brewing to give the variety of Belgium beers. Fully interactive, fun quizzes and a sensory experience ending in the bar for a tasting. Also a nice alternative story for the kids to follow.

A great interactive experience which shared lots of history in a friendly and inviting environment with some beer tasting at the end. Lots of great memorabilia and photographs to explore around the museum.

This is not a ticket for the Bruges beer experience as it states in the title of the ad. It only allows you entrance to the beer museum. Complete false advertising. The actual beer experience is another separate charge. So buyer beware
