1.00The age of spa feels quaint and old fashioned when you first enter but when you look properly it’s dirty , overcrowded and when you leave you feel you need a scrub with Dettol. Its not relaxing or quite I could list lots of things to give a 1 star , however just don’t visit. We have loved everything else in Budapest

The beautiful historic architecture, warm outdoor pools, and variety of baths and saunas create a unique and memorable experience. It’s well maintained, welcoming, and perfect for unwinding after sightseeing, truly a must-visit in Budapest.

4.00Located in Budapest. First time trying thermal bath in a 5 degree weather! What an experience, loved it and definitely recommended! Pro tip: get your own shampoo and soap. Towels will be given there. Pro tip 2: try the pool to the left where the water swirls around the jacuzzi, worth it!

4.00If you’re heading to the Széchenyi Thermal Bath, I totally recommend taking 45 minutes to soak in a hot bath filled with beer-making salts and malt — all while sipping an actual beer. It’s incredibly relaxing. From the moment you arrive, everything’s easy. Just head to the Beer Spa entrance, skip the lines, and they’ll show you straight to your booth. You can also enjoy the rest of the spa before and after your soak, which makes the whole experience even better. You need to ensure you bring a towel, flip flops and of course swim shorts. Some pools require a swim cap too but not enough to effect your visit. The main spa is fair sized, not the largest but we went on a Tuesday lunch and it wasn't over crowded and by 3pm was quite quiet. You don't get all the modern conveniences you see in the steam and sauna rooms, they are quite small with the sound of banging pipes, but still a great experience overall

3.00Széchenyi Baths felt older and overcrowded. Changing rooms offer zero privacy, and the layout is confusing with three separate entrances — luxury, cash, and basic — which don’t connect, forcing you to walk around the building. Walkways were slippery and potentially dangerous, and signage could be much clearer. The baths are pricey for the crowded conditions and overall dated feel. While I’m glad I tried it, I wouldn’t go back.

5.00We didn’t have a reservation and that didn’t seem to matter. They have credit card kiosks where you can buy your ticket. It is not necessary to book online. After paying at the machine using your credit card take the ticket to the person who will check you in. He will give you a rubber watch band device to unlock / lock your locker. BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL! This spa is easy to reach by bus or subway. Senior citizens over 65 are free on public transportation. We tried the 3 outdoors spas. Then went inside to try all the different spas with different water temperatures. The salt sauna is something you need to experience. The outdoor adventure spa was a lot of fun.

5.00Very easy to find and very welcoming staff. The changing room was tiny but we managed. Staff explained about the bath ingredients and their benefits and would have been happy to adjust the bath temperature, had we required it. It was such a nice, relaxing experience. The drinking beer was cold, the bath was toasty warm and there were snacks too.

4.00Small room with 4 tubs & 2 beer taps. Pretzels also provided. There is no door so other other spa guests kept coming in to look around. Pillow would have been nice. The larger spa experience was a bit overwhelming- no explanation or expectations provided. Very busy with warm indoor pools completely full. No exactly the cleanest either- lots of things floating in the water. The outdoor pool was wonderful! Full but still able to find a place to sit/stand. I also had a 45 minute massage which was really only 30 min and more of a body rub vs massage- I don't recommend. Take your own flip flops & towel/robe. The private changing room was nice.

3.00Very large structure, nice pools, very nice river. It is not possible to rent towels, slippers etc., so bring them yourself. Luckily, there are lockers. Little deckchair outside. Overall cute structure, there are hot tubs and others very cold, that's the beauty. Unfortunately, however, the cleanliness is to be improved. The indoor pools are pretty dirty. At some point pieces of something start floating. I understand the turnout, but maintenance needs to be improved. I didn't expect this issue to happen, considering how famous they are.

3.00Beerspa was fine - friendly staff and cozy atmosphere - the ordinary thermal spa was terrible.... No rules about bathing before going in, too crowded, very loud, queue for everything.
