The entire experience was enjoyable. We typically “extreme vacation” but this forced, enjoyable relaxation. Good for couples or group experience.

We had a blast in the BeerSpa at Szechenyi Baths. Its not cheap (approx £99 each via TA) but its such a unique experience on reflection we thought it was well worth it and we are still talking about it weeks after! Its very well organised and the team that manage the BeerSpa are so friendly and helpful. As you head in through main entrance of Szechenyi Baths head towards the reception desk to your left and you'll see the BeerSpa 'A' boards guiding you to the right place to check in. They have a clever wrist band system to enable you to lock all your belongings in private changing rooms and once your 45 minutes are up in the BeerSpa you then have free time to enjoy all the indoor & outdoor pool and steam/sauna rooms for as much time as you desire. We found all the facilities, especially the private changing booths to be spotlessly clean and well kept.

Was a great trip! The BeerSpa and the thermal baths were a lot of fun to experience, a bit pricey, but overall glad we experienced it. The beer on tap was great, the baths were relaxing, and the thermal baths were beautiful.

This is a more casual experience than other beer baths, but I liked how open and social the experience was. If you are looking for something more intimate and private this might not be the experience for you as I do believe going with a group adds to the way the experience is laid out.

I am 66 years old. Everything hurts sometimes. My knee hurts from running to make a connection to Budapest. My hips hurt. But after I sat in these magical hop beer infused thermal waters of a 2,000 old spa - nothing HURT! Plus terrific Hungarian beer on tap all you want as you soak and pretzels. It was just me - and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Friendly helpful staff. Do not miss this unique experience .

A fun, relaxing experience on a day we were travel weary and needed a break. We started in the Beerspa… the unlimited Czech beer was great and it was great to have a little alone time in the tubs. From there, we went to the outdoor pool. I had mixed feelings about the idea of hanging out in a pool with a crowd of people, but once I was in, I forgot all about it. It was a beautiful spring day and the water was 84 degrees. It was heavenly to just hang out, enjoy the day and people watch. I wouldn’t consider it a must-do, but I’m glad we did it. As others have said, the building has multiple entrances so give yourself plenty of time to find the right door and be there 20 minutes in advance. The Beerspa provides great instructions and photos of where to go.

It was an interesting experience but we won't go back. There were lots of pools to try at varying temperatures but we were hard pressed to figure out the benefits of each pool. It was thermal water, heated by nature, but that was it. The steam rooms and saunas didn't really offer what they claimed such as "aroma"; there was no aroma. There were at least 3 that were out of order. Even though it was mid week off season, it was very crowded. People were often rude and pushy. Some of the sauna and steam rooms were crowded and as some people waited in turn to go in, others just shoved their way to the front even when asked to wait in line. Most of the rude people were 20 somethings so it's likely a generational problem but there were no attendants to help deal with issues. We often had to wait for space to get in different pools or rooms. We did try the BeerSpa. You don't actually soak in beer; it's just warm water with some things added that you would find it beer, such as hops and salt. All that is good for you, just a little misleading. If you are a beer drinker, you do get unlimited beer while soaking. We were also not kicked out when our time was up. I assume there were no others waiting so they allowed us a little extra time which was appreciated. It was probably the best part of the day for us. All in all, I'm glad we tried it to say we did it but wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

nice bath in the beer spa, unlimited beer via the tap on the side, what's not to like. didn't feel the need to go to the main spa, as I felt this would detract from the ambience and novelty of the beer bath
