The small booking fee you have paid to Viator is an administrative and marketing fee to guarantee your spot on the tour. You are encouraged to tip your guide what you feel the tour was worth at the end. Most guests tip €10 per person, some even more. Our guides work very hard for tips, and you are guaranteed to have a great tour!
Important note: Groups of 8 or more people are required to contact us at least 24 hours in advance and they have to pay a minimum 8 €/ person minimum fee for the tour, whether they booked as a group or separately.

Our licensed local tour guide holding a small blue flag will meet you 20 meters from Budapest Eye on Elisabeth Square. He will introduce you the tour that combines history, architecture, public art, society, food, basic Hungarian language and what Hungarians are actually like. Your guide will show on the map and list all those iconic Budapest landmarks and off the beaten track backstreets that are scheduled in the tour.
Szent Istvan Bazilika
You will learn about the largest church in Budapest -seating 8500 people-, about its architecture that is much like Budapest itself, marked by different periods of splendor. You will also see beautiful houses at this pedestrianized space and much more. This tour does not enter the Basilica.

5.00Our guide, Martin, was very friendly with great Budapest knowledge. He managed to give lots of information about the history of Budapest and how this has shaped the city today. It was not a strenuous walk but at a good pace for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience

5.00Esther was a very good tour guide. She used a microphone which was necessary given the large group. She spoke clearly and had perfect English. She provided a history, was easy to follow on foot, and provided time for pictures at each stop. I was very impressed for a free tour and provided a good tip to compensate her for a great walking tour.

5.00An excellent, high quality tour of the key sights around Pest. Andy was a brilliant tour guide, explaining the landmarks and history in an engaging manner. I particularly loved learning some key Hungarian words along with a brief history of the language. The tour was at a very reasonable pace, with Andy ensuring stops were in the shade as it was 32C! The tour is suitable for all - we had a mix of ages in our group, including my 10yr olds, and everyone enjoyed it. The tour is tip-based but there is no pressure at the end to tip (though you will want to, as the tour is excellent!)
