The small booking fee you have paid to Viator is an administrative and marketing fee to guarantee your spot on the tour. Our licensed local tour guide holding a small blue flag will meet you 20 meters from Budapest Eye on Elisabeth Square. He will introduce you the tour that combines history, architecture, public art, society, food, basic Hungarian language and what Hungarians are actually like. Your guide will show on the map and list all those iconic Budapest landmarks and off the beaten track backstreets that are scheduled in the tour.
Szent Istvan Bazilika
You will learn about the largest church in Budapest -seating 8500 people-, about its architecture that is much like Budapest itself, marked by different periods of splendor. You will also see beautiful houses at this pedestrianized space and much more. This tour does not enter the Basilica.

5.00Our tour guide Rita was absolutely fabulous! She really took the time to explain everything! Every single stop was super interesting, beautiful and historic. I would definitely recommend booking this on a sunny day it makes all the difference. At the end she also told us about the best restaurants and places and how and where to get tickets and really made the experience super! 5 stars, don’t miss it! Key note: you are kind of expected to bring a cash tip, I did 1000 Hungarian fornit, some people did less some more it is totally up to you!

5.00Marton was an excellent tour guide. He was really clear and easy to understand. He provided a history of Hungary, took us to the many impressive landmarks, giving us the history of each and even some fun facts. We also learned about Hungarian food and drinks. Excellent tour.

5.00Esther was fantastic, setting a good introduction with clear and cheerful commentary throughout, the microphone and speaker helped to understand every word. Just enough information to give an interesting review of the history of Budapest, with some personal stories too. I highly recommend the tour.

5.00Endres was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. His English was superb and he was happy to answer questions as well as making some excellent recommendations. We were so impressed that we did the Jewish Quarter tour with him the following day. We would thoroughly recommend the Landmarks Tour as an introduction to beautiful Budapest.
