A guided tour to the most monumental religious building of the Hungarian capital. You will see numerous statues and frescos, and the oldest human hand of the world: the mummified right hand of the first Hungarian king Saint Stephen (from 1038).
The extra tour option also include:
A lookout terrace on the dome with amazing panoramic views of the whole city.
Possibility to visit the treasury and history exhibition of the church.

Basic Public Tour in English
Guided Tour: This option includes a guided tour inside the church.
Duration: 45 minutes
Only Church - without tower: This option doesn't include the dome terrace and tower treasury. Choose the other option, if you also wish to visit them.
Limited mobility: You will agree to skip the dome terrace and tower treasury, eg. if you cannot climb steep stairs to the top of the Basilica.

Booking for bigger groups: If your group has more than 10 people, please book the tour for a smaller group, and contact us for an agreement on the rest.
Guided Tour: Live guiding inside the church, on the panoramic dome terrace and in the treasury.

Extra ticket: After the guided tour your guide will give you tickets to the dome terrace and treasury, and you can visit these on your own.

5.00We very much enjoyed our tour with Petra. She was so knowledgeable, entertaining, passionate about the history of her country and the basilica! She included lots of os historical stories that made our tour fun. Highly recommended
Finding our guide was half the adventure—but once we did, the Basilica tour was worth it.

3.00Meeting up with the tour guide was a challenge as the meeting place assigned was in front of ticket office that sold tickets for the same event. The guide did not have on any attire indicating she was a guide or nothing on her sign she pulled out of her bag that said Basilica tour. It was raining and we stood in line attempting to locate the person. Once inside the Basilica she was knowledgeable. We have been on better organized tours with Viator and that's why we continue to use them, not all can be winners.

5.00A wonderful place to visit, so ornate. The Organist was playing Handel, then we heard Jingle Bells floating across the centre of the Basilica, much appreciated by all of the visitors. A reduced rate ticket- over 65- was around £4.50 (2000 Huf) We spent about an hour inside, admiring the architecture, Sculpture & stained glass windows. Time well spent.

5.00Our guide Julia knew a lot about the history of Hungary and how she was connected with the Basilica of St. Stephen. It really deserves this tour as well as the opportunity to get someone on the terrace and see Pest from above.
