Your experience begins with a warm welcome and an introduction to Hungary’s rich wine history in our elegant tasting room. You’ll explore our boutique Wine Museum, where you’ll learn about the country’s unique wine regions, grape varieties, and centuries-old traditions through engaging exhibits and stories. Next, you’ll sample 4 traditional Hungarian wines and a specialty drink selected to represent the diverse flavours of the region. From crisp whites to robust reds and sweet Tokaji, our knowledgeable host will walk you through each tasting, sharing insights about the production process, tasting notes, and food pairings. To complement the wines, you’ll enjoy a curated selection of local bites, including artisanal cheeses and fresh bread. This pairing is designed to enhance the flavors and provide a deeper appreciation for Hungarian gastronomy. The experience concludes with time to ask questions, take photos, and, if you wish, purchase your favourite wines to take home.

We had a wonderful experience at Goldcentral Wine & Tasting. Everything was extremely well organized, and the atmosphere was welcoming and professional. We learned a lot during the tasting thanks to Dávid, Igor, and Attila, the sommelier, who shared their knowledge with passion and clarity. The explanations were engaging, informative, and easy to follow, even for those who are not wine experts. The service was truly professional from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-quality wine tasting experience.

Igor was very patient, kind, informative and never hesitated to revisit a topic to ensure we got the most out of our tasting. Local wines paired wonderfully with complimentary cheese, nuts and dried fruit. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to learn more not just about Hungarian wine but Hungarian history too!

What a fantastic tasting experience - personalized, educational, and fun! Igor gave us a brief history of the neighborhood and building, which houses rental apartments and an original cellar renovated for the tastings. He presented an overview of the Hungarian wine regions, history, climate, and varieties. We tasted 4 wines and one pálinka. All the snacks were homemade by Igor too. Thank you, Igor!

We had a truly exceptional experience here. The event featured a wonderful Hungarian wine tasting that was perfectly complemented by fascinating history about both Budapest and the wine itself. There are a lot of stairs down to the tasting room, but rhe experience was worth it. I learned all about the different wine regions in Hungary, their grapes and production levels. The chosen tastings matched well with the snacks, and it was an enjoyable and educational experience.

Amazing experience! We weren’t expecting it to be private and just the two of us - we clearly hadn’t read the fine print so when we arrived we were a bit confused. Soon we were met and taken to the most beautiful wine cellar lovingly created by the owners of Gold Central apartments. The Hungarian wine was fantastic and it was accompanied by great conversation on the history of the wine and the regions. The cheese plate was huge so we really couldn’t do it justice but was a great addition to the experience. Overall we loved every minute!

We were offered an amazing wine tasting along with great conversations, story telling and complimentary snacks! The wines were delicious and the scenery made it truly magical. Would 100% recommend if you’re traveling through Budapest!
