The value shown is half day tour (3h/during the morning) in the green car the (famous) Renault 4L. for two people.
The route can be west and east depending on what you like most and the suggestion of the moment.

* Jeep UMM (Portuguese classic car) - up to 6 people, value on prior consultation and subject to availability.

Our service will be personalized taking into account the interests and wishes of the customer or the group. If you want to do a tour with more than 6 people, we will try to get it, provided you are notified in advance.

A fishing village with a lot of history and Madeirese tradition. Of the best places to taste the famous "poncha". There's a chance we make a wood wine taste. Very important village at the tourist level, always with a lot of activity throughout the year which is the charm for visitors.

5.00Best excursion from a cruise ship for a solo traveler. The trip went around the west side of Madeira, some really pretty stops. Personalized time and few destinations. Wonderful day to spend on the island.

5.00We can't explain how great this tour is. Nuno is wonderful, very laid back and is happy to fit around anything you'd like to do but gives great advice over what works well. We enjoyed chatting to him over coffee learning about Madeira and as for the Poncha experience, never to be forgotten. Don't be fooled by other tours, this is not your run of the mill tour and we had so much fun. If we visit Madeira again we'll definitely organise something with Nuno.

5.00We had a fantastic trip with Nuno as our guide. His green Renault 4 reminded me of our first car back in the 80s. He showed us many sights and explained the whole culture of the island to us. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Madeira.

5.00My friends and I enjoyed a truly fabulous day with Nuno He was so much fun and very knowledgeable about his island. We toured many stunning locations. I had done a northwest tour before but I saw places on this adventure that I had not previously seen. He did a fantastic job avoiding the tourist crowds AND finding the best weather, local food and poncha! Truly a special day We all recommend Nuno 200%!

5.00Nuno is an exceptional guide. His knowledge of Madeira is second to none, but it’s his passion for this beautiful island that makes him such a compelling companion. He tailor-made our trip for us to ensure that we visited parts of the island we hadn’t seen before. Then on the day he constantly tweaked things to keep us away from the rain so we could enjoy Madeira fully. He’s friendly, knowledgable and full of information about all things Madeira. We are already thinking about where he can take us next year when we return. We can’t rate him highly enough and would give him 10 stars if we could.

5.00Nuno!!! I can not thank you enough!!! I was very nervous about traveling to Madeira alone for my birthday week, without a car rental, staying all the way in Porto Moniz, however finding Nuno and Classic Madeira Tours was absolutely great!! I wanted to tour the island without the hustle and bustle of big tour groups and being rushed, and wanted time to enjoy real local areas and flavor….Nuno delivered !!! I booked two separate days of a half island tour, each day focusing on a different side of the island. Nuno was very great with explaining, taking him time, and allowing me to have my own time to take in all the beautiful sights. He also took amazing photos, shared beautiful stories and was just great company overall. I’m So thankful to have met Nuno and explored th island with him!!

5.00From the first contact to actually meeting in person, we cannot recommend Nuno enough. He collected us from our apartment with a beaming smile and such warmth, we felt we’d reconnected with a dear friend again. His car is just awesome, a classic Renault which makes you feel so special! Nuno drove us with such care round the west part of the island, stopping at the best places which were quiet as he knew they would be! He shared so much local authentic knowledge that the hours just flew past. He is such a wonderful host and we didn’t stop smiling the whole time. Don’t book anyone else but Nuno if you want the best day to turn into the finest memories. Next time we really will be meeting our friend. Love anna and William munro, Scotland.

Hello to you all and if you are about to be lucky to go on a trip with Nuno Valente and his exceptional company Classic Madeira tours then you will become another maker of fantastic memories with the most charming, friendly, professional and passionate about Madeira person, tour guide Many years ago we met Nuno and an immediate connection was made and to this day I have the pleasure of calling him a friend. Our latest trip took us southwest of the Island to the delightful Bird Island, family owned business with an amazing variety of birds all very sociable all set in subtropical gardens with numerous fish ponds with pink flamingo and fruit trees. There is a cafe and an amazing shop. Clean facilities and the surrounding countryside is breathtaking. I wholeheartedly recommend it and Nuno will get you there safely and recommend coffee stops and lunch stops, viewpoints and other places to visit and always without the crowds. Having visited Madeira over 26 years we are Ambassadors for Madeira tourism and proud with the title as we Love this Island and of course have visited many, many places but Nuno can still surprise us with new things to see and do. So what are you waiting for, book a trip with The Man of the Moment, the wonderful, charismatic Nuno with two vehicles of choice, jeep or a classic Renault delightfully known as Shrek…

5.00This was our fourth year coming out with Nuno Valente of Classic Madeira Tours. We first met Nuno in May 2022 when we came to Madeira for the Flower Festival. We have had trips every year since. Nuno always personalises his tours. Over the years we have been coming to Madeira we have seen the majority of the island but Nuno always seems to find something we haven’t seen. He finds the best views, the best places to eat and the best poncha bars (my husband’s favourite). We have been as a couple with him, with our son and one year with some quite elderly less mobile relatives with whom he found easier places for them to go, he even hired a different vehicle to take us out that year to make it more comfortable for the elderly couple. This year was with our sister in law as well as our son. Being local to the island he is very knowledgeable and provides a full running commentary every where we go. If there is somewhere specific you wish to visit, ask him, he will try to fit this in if he can. Our days with Nuno are always the highlight of our holidays.

The tour was personalised to include beautiful places that we could stop at, photograph and enjoy in a timely way. Good value for money and a truly memorable experience.
