I had the pleasure to walk around the city of Cambridge with Sonya, which provided a lovely tour and very interesting insights. It was not my first time in Cambridge, but this was definitely my favorite activity since i was really able to enjoy the sightseeing instead of just wandering around completely lost. If you're new here I really suggest booking this kind of tour so you can understand the city and also get useful recommendations for your stay. I also recommend Sonya as a guide, she was very enjoyable, funny and prepared!

There was a group of us went who had never done the walking tour before. Our experience was excellent, our guide Rita was highly knowledgeable, extremely articulate and also made it entertaining as well as factual. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone. Be generous at the end.

When on tour with Mark. He's a history graduate from Keys College. Its a really fun tour, he knows how to bring people into the tour and not just talk to himself. I learned a lot about Cambridge itself and the University, fascinating for adults and youngsters as he tries to bring a sense of humour into the talks. One thing is - its a bit one way, with not much chance to ask questions but thats my only criticism, as he is an excellent tour guide and you won't be disappointed.

Rita, our guide was so knowledgeable and interesting. Her experience of being a student in Cambridge definitely added to the tour. She managed a large group of people very well and provided some very interesting information as we were guided through the streets of such a beautiful city. Thank you. I would highly recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed the tour! Mark is an excellent storyteller and exactly the kind of guide who makes me love the free walking tour concept. Over more than two hours, we listened to and witnessed the story of Cambridge, learned a lot about the city, and had a great time!

Our tour was led by Mark who was fantastic. He was informative and entertaining, really knowledgeable about the places he showed us and put that knowledge across in a fun, engaging way. He packed a lot in but we never felt rushed. We chose the optional entry to King's College Chapel, which in my view is a must see. Our group got the impression that Mark enjoyed it as much as we did. Thanks Mark, keep up the good work. Alan G and party 29/10/25

We did the Cambridge tour with Mark and it was really great. We learned the history of the city and colleges through its most iconic characters. His stories are very rich, very well documented and you don't get bored for a minute. The tour is done in a very small group (there were 6) and we were able to ask Mark to rehearse (when we did not understand... because the tour was in English;-) or specify points. He does not count his hours and takes great pleasure in telling his story. This pleasure is obviously communicative! Thanks, Mark.

Our Cambridge tour guide, Mark, was excellent. He not only covered some great historical events and took us to the places, but also had a great sense of humour. Children especially teens and young adults will certainly learn lots of details from him related to the history of Cambridge university and the city. We wish Mark a great success. Thanks!

Our guide, Mark, a (not recent!) Cambridge history graduate led our of two families, four kids under 14 and four adults. His tour was funny, irreverent, passionate and knowledgeable. He managed to really connect events in history with events happening today. I think he tried to inspire the children in our group with an understanding of the relevance of history and how tropes and behaviours and events in history repeat themselves. I appreciated how he told the histories of the people who are invisible and undeservingly overlooked (and why), as well as those who are very visible. He tells a great anecdote about a poet who was pyrophobic (I won't spoil the anecdote by sharing it here) amongst dozens of other hidden gems. My kids, who displayed typical teenage reticence during the tour, revealed over dinner that they had really enjoyed Mark's tour, and why, and even that they like history at school, because they like the teacher. Not many people could make two hours on a cold, rainy afternoon pass so entertainingly! Well done, Mark.

Pavel made this tour an exceptional experience - he brought us all the way forward through history with, not only key facts, but some very fun stories about students and faculty. Truly a great tour - we highly recommend it if this be your first visit.
