We provide combo tours that incorporate walking along your 4x4/SUV private tour route.

Based on your physical abilities, interests and allotted tour time, we can give you a tour you won’t soon forget. **NOTE: extended tour times can be accommodated, contact to discuss additional fee.

The canyon has amazing rock formations, plants and trees, rock art and Puebloan ruins based on the trail route you select with your guide.

While on tour, you will hear about the culture and history of the canyon and its inhabitants. Our guides love to share their oral histories of the canyon. They are highly rated and informative.

The canyon floor is sandy with uneven terrain. You will traverse ravines, inclines, wash beds, embankments with the potential for water crossings. You will not find maintained or paved trails in the canyon. Most guests hike 1 mph.

Any physical concerns should be reported and discussed prior to your tour.

My wife and I had a mesmerizing tour of Canyon de Chelly with Jason, who is personable and extremely knowledgeable as to physical and historical aspects of the canyon having spent years living and working in it. The landscapes are truly magnificent and the historic relics of living spaces built into caves and cliff ledges along with prolific and fascinating petroglyph and pictorgraph art were truly beautiful. Jason shared experiences and anecdotes that greatly enriched our understanding of Navajo culture and the history of these people in this area over centuries. He was a terrific guide and an excellent driver in the rough and exciting roadless conditions of the canyon floor. We highly recommend Canyon De Chelly Tours LLC.

We enjoyed an amazing day in the Canyon. Our guide, Francine, was the highlight of the trip. She was very knowledgeable about the the history, both ancient and recent. She made our day a special memory.

What an amazing experience we had. Our guide, Reggie Regg is awesome. His knowledge of the canyon, his life experiences of growing up between the canyon walls added to tour. He showed up on time, the jeep was clean and well kept. Reggie brought with him two flutes which he played in different locations being the canyon to life with his music. We highly recommend Canyon Del Chelly Tours LLC for your adventure. Ask for Reggie Regg to top off your tour.

Since the canyon was closed due to gov’t shutdown we were more than thrilled to book a last minute tour w/this co. Misty was wonderful and as a native american was totally knowledgeable about the canyon. Beautiful tour across the canyon floor including ruins which were awesome! Definitely a highlight of our trip to Arizona & would highly recommend.

Our guide Reginald made our trip a special and fascinating experience. He was raised in the area, spoke Diné Bizaad, and had a deep knowledge of Diné culture and the canyon. We had signed up for a 4 hour combo tour, but he advised us that the ground was muddy with multiple water crossings due to recent rains, and that we could see more if we mostly rode in the jeep. He was right! We saw so much that the time flew by and we were left wanting to come back for a longer tour. We left with a better understanding of the history, culture, and beauty of the canyon and its people, and a desire to learn more. Thank you Reginald!

Reggie gave my husband and I a great canyon tour. Reggie was super interesting and knowledgeable about both past and current Native American culture. Good native flute player too! Excellent tour. Thanks!

Our tour was led by Delvannia and she was amazing. She listened and understood what we were looking for and designed the tour around our interests and conversations. The entire time was informative and visually stunning. We would highly recommend this to others and fully intend to be back for another tour in the fall. Thank you very much for making this bucket list item fabulous and wonderful.

My husband and I really enjoyed our tour of Canyon de Chelly with our guide, Misty Star. She was so knowledgeable about the Canyon and also about the Diné people and their customs. We highly recommend this tour!

We chose Canyon de Chelly tours because of the 5 star TripAdvisor reviews and because the company has been in business for 30+ years. We're glad we did. Canyon de Chelly Tours was willing to personalize our tour. When we booked, we were asked about our interests. We chose history, archaeology and geology, and our guide, Delvonnia, addressed all of those topics and more. She regaled us with stories from her family and her people, and she answered our many questions. She's an amazing guide who has an extensive knowledge of the region, and we highly recommend her. We initially booked the combo tour so we could hike and still see many sights. We selected an open jeep with roll bars so we had the best views. That meant no A/C, but good breezes, perfect choice. But the day before we left for Chinle, our daughter fractured her ankle, so we called Delvonnia and asked if she could adjust the tour. No problem, she said. We did mostly driving but got out at every stop for a short walk (albeit on crutches for our daughter). It all worked perfectly. Canyon de Chelly Tours can pick up at local hotels (but not at the Thunderbird Lodge -- for that one, there's a pickup spot nearby). We stayed at the Holiday Inn, so we were picked up and dropped off there, very key with one person with a bad ankle! The tours are not cheap but are well worth the price. Tips are much appreciated.
