This tour explores the backcountry of Canyonlands National Park (Island in the Sky District) in approximately 4 hours. You will ride along in one of our 4x4 backcountry vehicles with heat and a/c for optimal comfort during all seasons.

Throughout this half day experience you will learn all about the parks, history, and geology of the Moab area. Your guide will point out Arch formations, and other towering landscapes along the way. Since our tours are private we can stop for photos at any point.

Sight seeing areas on this tour include but are not limited to Potash Mine, Shafer Trail, Musselman Arch, Ancient Indian Petroglyphs (Rock Carvings), Thelma and Louise point, and breathtaking canyon views. This tour will include both pavement sections and 4x4 road sections that are not paved.

Water and snacks are always provided for free.

You do not need a reservation or an entry ticket for this tour. The price is all inclusive. Folks visiting the parks on their own typically only see what is along side the pavement road - this tour will venture into the 4x4 backcountry for an exquisite and unique National Park experience. Our guide was Jack. He was great and a truly knowledgeable, all around nice guy. Scenery was breathtaking and the off roading was a blast.

This outing exceeded our expectations by a million percent! Sean was our guide and he is awesome: fun, knowledgeable, respectful, and very skilled in back country driving. The terrain we got to experience was phenomenal.

Sean took us to Canyonlands back country tour. The views were Amazing! The issue we had was he took his wife with him and this was a private tour with my husband and I. He was holding hands with his wife having private conversations amongst themselves making it little uncomfortable for us.

Canyon lands back country trip was amazing. Saw some incredible sites. Our guide was Shawn and he was very knowledgeable and we felt safe at all times

Unless one is looking at a postcard photo shot by a drone one has *no idea* of what Canyonlands is like. From Moab one can see high buttes and they are impressive, but .... one has to drive a long time to get to the "guts" -- the true magnificence and "bigness" of it. So while you can drive yourself in a 4WD, and you will see folks doin it, unless you also know what you are looking for and at, you are way better off with this tour, especially if Sean White is your driver/guide. He is knowledgeable and thoughtful and obviously loves his job, so he also is entertaining, which is helpful because you will be banging around in a truck for four hours.

Great tour, get to see many different areas and view points that are not accessible going through from the National Park entrance. Great guide, Kevin, making it a great experience.

The sites are great. You get your money’s worth. Be warned, the road is rough so you bounce around a bit in the 4X4 van. Our guide was great and explained the area very well. It is an adventure!

There is seeing Canyonlands from the park lookouts - and then there is seeing Canyonlands on this trip. You could drive this yourself. Unless you have experience on narrow, gravel, rutted mountainous roads, I recommend you take this tour. Ask for one of Kevin's tours. You will not be disappointed
